Saturday seems to come down to two -180 opening lines, Colorado at St. Louis with Jimimez the scheduled starter or Florida at home against Pittsburgh. Good luck.

I was playing all season after 2nd loss and the longest chase was 4 games. However, I've missed many winners and finally ended with about 40 units in the green

thats playing the first 2 weeks of the season, which we dont play in baseball. so maybe it works starting mid-oct.
or if it keeps at that rate, looks pretty good to fade

based on these few days of testing fading is a gold mine.
the salary cap in hockey made every team a contender......great for betting the dog.

I'm going to start tracking Hockey starting Monday. This will mark the start of the third full week of regular season play. I will not be betting money but it might be neat just to see what happens. I will be including some filters that were used for a system similar to the baseball one that was used on another thread. They are: There must be at least 5 games being played in order to qualify and will be using the RL/PL calculator to figure out the bet so the PL will be -1 instead of -1.5 Attached is the spreadsheet that figures out a -1 puckline. Let me know what you think and any more filters that we should use?

If anyone is wondering, someone (not me) went back and back tested this system using the -1 PL for last season. Looked to be a decent year. Here is the spreadsheet. What do you think?

the outcome was better than i thought........but i still don't like the idea, i would rather go for +1.5 on the underdog.....high juice is though

Last night there were only three games, so according to the filters there wouldn't have been a play, however if you did fade the fav it would have been a win. There are only three games tonight also so no play tonight again I am not betting money on this and I suggest no one else do it either until stats can be proven

Last night if you were to play the fave it would of been a push at -1. If you faded the fave you would have won the bet. Tonight Vancouver is the play

Sorry. I did not understand the figure that appears in the cell 66 F. That amount considerably affects the bottom line (final result). Thanks for your response.

More than 50% of 12 points (or more) favs lines lost. Take a look on 2009 NBA season.

it never really was anything, we are just playing around with a system at playing the favorites in the NHL. I've been away from a computer so I haven't been able to keep track. If we do get hot and heavy with this we should probably take it outside of a baseball forum

have the the last 5 seasons data for this system and the first two weeks..or month for that matter doesn't show less success than other periods of the mlb season........i start betting from opening day.

I would consider this system with a 3-game chase instead. That leaves you with a 6-8 unit risk for every chase - most of the chases hit within 3 games.
