    St. Jude Christmas donation thread

    Ok guys its time to put the tough guy e-bully aside for a little bit and show that you actually have a heart...at least this time of the year

    For those that don't know about St. Jude, here's a quick snippet about who they are and what they do:

    "All medically eligible patients who are accepted for treatment at St. Jude are treated without regard to the family's ability to pay. St. Jude is one of a few pediatric research organizations in the United States where families never pay for treatments that are not covered by insurance, and families without insurance are never asked to pay. In addition to providing medical services to eligible patients, St. Jude also assists families with transportation, lodging, and meals. Three separate specially-designed patient housing facilities—Grizzly House for short-term (up to one week), Ronald McDonald House for medium-term (one week to 3 months), and Target House for long-term (3 months or more)—provide housing for patients and up to three family members, with no cost to the patient. These policies, along with research expenses and other costs, cause the hospital to incur more than $2.4 million in operating costs each day. Around $180,000 is covered by patient insurance; the remaining $2.22 million/day is funded by charitable contributions"

    Guys this really is a great cause. A lady that works in my office is currently in our local Ronald McDonald house after her baby was born at only 27 weeks. Without places like this these families wouldn't get the help that they need.

    Even if its just a small donation from SBR, every bit counts. I also encourage each of you to keep places like this in mind not only at Christmas, but throughout the year.

    I have 2 young daughters and I couldn't imagine what it would be like for these families, much less this time of year.

    I don't have a certain goal in mind, but lets try and get as much as we can

    Send the points in this thread and I'll hold them until say the 17th of this month and place the order. I'll eat the rake and make up any difference to make sure all points sent are applied to the donation.

    I normally don't give 2 shits about people that can't afford food because they lost their jobs. And I sure as shit don't feel bad for kids that can't live a decent life, because their deadbeat fukkin parents can't afford them.

    Assuming Thad agrees to add it to my debt but not count it in the loan contest (separate payback afterwards), I'll match whatever is donated between now and 8PM EST, up to 1000 points.
