Anyone think Miguel Torres at +165 can get it done tonight?

    http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Desmond-Green-89993
Thinking Torres by Sub perhaps if he doesn't get put to sleep first.....

Ricci misses weight by the way - http://www.sherdog.com/news/news/Tit...e-Affair-76509

The Ricci/Yoshida fight is off. They changed it to a three round non-title fight after Rici missed weight and it appears that today Yoshida backed out. Sucks because I had a Ricci + Green parlay which now becomes a single bet on Green for less payout of course. I don't see Miguel submitting Green and I think that's his most likely way to win. More likely he's getting outgrappled by the bigger stronger man, put on his back and loses a decision.

I read ya Jim and I can't disagree with your logic - Still, Miguel Torres is a very good submission grappler off his back, that's his strength . http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Miguel-Torres-3006 He's on a 3 fight win streak now and remember he was a top ranked fighter at one point.. Went the distance with guys like Mighty Mouse Johnson and other talents in the past.. While Green is the more physically strong fighter and will hold a solid wrestling advantage going in I'm finding it hard to bet on him at -205...

This is a massive step up in competition for Miguel Torres compared to his last 3 wins, his chin has let him down in the past as well.. I'm just thinking the 3 fight win streak may have restored his confidence and remember Green got choked out in his last fight..

I'm gonna try Miguel Torres for small at +160 myself.. Not confident though.. I just think he has a shot at a submission victory late in the fight if he's still around...

My other play other than Green is Stinson. I don't think that his fight with Figueroa will go past the first round.

I'd hurry on that if you're taking it. I put a million dollars on it, so the line should theoretically move, if I've been reading Jim_Gunn's advanced gambling theory correctly.

I think if Green is to win it's gonna be by KO/TKO.. Via pounding Torres out and into unconsciousness on the ground.. We see.....

Torres is still the underdog. I recall that I put exactly $200 on Raphael Davis over Jason Brilz at +125 in a Titan FC card from May and that line didn't even budge at the time.

We were talking about the decision line which I moved from +145 to -120.

Your bets don't move lines. Books watch certain customers bets. It helps that they be winning.

I'm sure the fact that the decision line was released only a few hours ago when all of a sudden many thousands of people had access to it and the fact that Green is a favorite and known as a fighter that often goes to decisions had nothing to do with that line movement.

If you really think the MMA prop market is many thousands of people you're out of your mind.

Also, since you don't believe me, take me up on the bet, I'll go as high as you want. Should be super easy money for you.

There isn't a way to determine what effect your bets would have on the line movement independent of the rest of the people betting it for the main event tonight, no matter whether it's dozens or hundreds of people or more betting that prop. I'm not surprised that a prop is more sensitive to movement though than a moneyline.

^^ Nuns you really don't think there are thousands of people all over the world and on the internet betting prop lines? Granted only a few bookies offer props but that would be even more reason for more people to hammer the props on these few online books no?

Another thing does one gambler like yourself have that much influence that the bookies are watching your every move even if they know who you are and are maxing out bets from time to time? I would think it's an over all volume thing that moves lines especially when the betting becomes completely one sided..

This is interesting stuff you guys are saying....
