I'm playing Venus and the over although I think this may be a drubbing. Trying to protect myself here - if Petkovic wins, Venus will go down fighting so the over should be ok. I don't put much stock into Venus' injury concerns. If she's that hurt now, shell retire.

Morning guys, I can't believe no ones jumping on Nadal tonight??? Tomic doesn't stand a chance. He fell to Mayer the other week 6-2 6-2, and Mayers not even in that good of form. Nows he's got main court, prime time, he's only 18, ranked around 200 and he's got all day to dwell over going up against world number 1. I can see this game going 6-3 6-2 6-2, at worst 6-4 6-2 6-2. Nadal with figure out his game pretty quickly. I hope i'm not wrong, I put $300 on Nadal -9.5 lol

Looking ahead to tomorrows matchup Shari, i'm quite intrigued by Wawrinka vs Roddick. Do you have an opinion on this matchup? I really like Wawrinki, I think he's mentally stronger at the moment. Roddick tends to lose his cool quite easily when he's under pressure, it affects his game. How do you think Wawrinka will handle Roddicks serve? Cheers in advance.

I have a fairly large bet on Melzer but there's not much I have to say about this one that would inspire much confidence for anyone else. After watching both of their matches the other day, I thought Melzer would've opened at lower odds so I was surprised by the price. I love Baggy in Australia but I think Melzer is sneaky enough to get the win.

No no. If you like Baggy, please go for it! As I said, as soon as I realized this matchup was going to happen, I liked Melzer here. And that's after I went fairly big on Baggy in the last round through live betting when I saw him in the first game of the first set. You should stuck what what you like and ignore me.

I'll be on Wawa but for not as big as I had initially planned. Andy will have trouble winning as many points on serve as he normally does because Wawrinka can return with the best of them. The only thing that's stopping me from throwing a big chunk on Wawa is that Andy is sneaky and knows exactly hoat coax the tempo of the game into his favour. He'll also have massive crowd support and he's one of the few players I take this into consideration with because he feeds off of it.

It'll be Wawrinka for me but I'll be waiting tomorrow to place my bet as I suspect many people will jump on Andy at these odds.

There sure is. The only way to see tomic win is if his fans are loaded with vb bottle, throw vb bottle at nadals head and successfuly knock him out. This is likely to happen with the amount of pissheads queensland has, tomic being a queenslander of course.

Yes - if Nadal breaks both ankles, his e blows out and his arms fall off from the shoulders and he still keeps playing with the racquet in his mouth.

Seriously though, there's always a chance any player can lose. Realistically though, Tomic has the teeniest of chances of winning. Especially after Nadal heard the crap Tomic was saying about their match.

Not sure what I'm going to do with this one. I really don't rate Sam too much as a player despite her ranking. Mentally she's a flop and as soon as her cheeks gets those red spots high on her cheeks, you may as well jump on live betting and put your account on her opponent because her confidence is gone. And I think the crowd will hurt Sam more than it will help because the pressure of playing on such a big stage at home is exactly the type of situation she tends to choke in.

But Kvitova is young. And while teenagers can be full of overinflated confidence in themselves ie Tomic, they can also psych themselves out before a match even begins because they don't have the experience of playing such big matches.

If I could trust that Kvitova will come out and not be overwhelmed, I'd take her because she actually has the tools to dismantle Sam and can handle her serve. Might wait until closer to the match to decide. Very hard to call this one.

Yeah, playing Serena is the only thing that is making me have some confidence in her. But playing an Aussie in Australia is a big ask of anyone. Especially when we're talking about Stosur because she's the only decent hope this country has at the moment. The crowd is boisterous at the best of times. On a Saturday night it's going to be insane. Oh and remind me to PM you about a kid by the name of Dane Kelly.

Bicks- I have a very bad history with Stosur. I can never get a good handle on her because her mind's a mystery. And I don't do the value thing when I bet. If I think odds are wrong, like Makarova today, I'll jump on. But I think these odds are a close approximate of Kvitova's chance here. I'm just trying to figure out whose brain I trust more. I should be smart, realise these are WTA players and just pass altogether.

I'm where you're at on Stosur-Kvitova for Melzer-Baghdatis. My heart is with Baghdatis, dunno why but I have always liked the dude ... but my mind says Melzer is more consistent although his game is boring as fukk. Think that is also why I like Baghdatis, the Cypriot flair.
