i think if no books offered this, you still can do it by keep betting nadal set betting 3-0 with the units are all accumulated from prev win. i doubt when this prop was offered, the books add much bonus odds (like parlay, i mean), not even close to 1.00 imo. they must be calculating all the risk analysis throughout all the opps nadal might face. the odds of both ways of betting should be close enough

Tommy Haas if healthy and matched up against Nadal would take a set.
This guy is healthy again and is no joke. I stated earlier this week he will not lose another match up through the French Open. I'll go as far as to say he might not drop a set up through the French open. Nadal will dominate the French Open this year. When healthy there is not a single player on tour that can keep up with him on clay. The last two days he destroyed two of the most respectable clay court players on tour

Wow. I wasn't aware he got that desperately needed double knee replacement and was fully rehabbed from it. There is no way he is, nor ever will be as healthy as he was 2 years ago. His style of game begs the question, not will he break down again but WHEN will he break down again.
Don't get me wrong I think he is the best clay player on tour right now or perhaps ever but not dropping a set. Cmon.

not dropping a set throughout the french would be a very tall order. Gonzo, Feds, Novak or soderling would all have a chance....Strangely I could almost see Karlovic taking a set (not a match) if he is serving his best. If nalbandian was 100%, he may have a shot at a set as well....all these are IF scenarios. To drop a set means he only has to get broken once and not break. I doubt that Nadal is flawless this year at R.G.

Well Betmania's line is off right now for Nadal to win the French, they have it at +165......pinny is -165, greek is -190. I just put a bunch on Nadal and a little on Federer at +250 to hedge. Federer wins I'm even, Nadal wins I'm +3 units.

its hard to bet on ANY player to take a set from nadal on clay when he's on his best. you just see how he can play the shot anyway he wants the question remains, is he injury-free alr? is his confidence back alr?

Unless that bet is like +1000, it's not even a smart bet. I would almost go so far as to guarantee Nadal drops a set if he plays Ferrero early on, and then almost positively if he faces Federer in the finals. Federer's '08 french finals performance was the worst major finals performance of his career, and the best finals performance of Nadal's career- just keep that in mind. And Federer worked so hard on his clay game after that embarrassment. Fed is a much better clay player now than he was than, and Nadal is the same clay player now as he was then. Fed getting embarrassed like that in the finals is a once in a lifetime thing. You'll never see it happen again.

Contact the book(s) and ask them. I think most books, esp the Greek will gladly book your wager.

I wouldn't bet on those knees of his just yet.
I don't think he is anywhere near the player he was in 2008-------and he is just one tough match away from those knees starting to bother him again.

always root nadal but these days he cannot sweep the french, besides, during his 4 french championships he lost at least 1 set to federer 3 times. i think this is a terrible bet now that i think about it more

Did he get a knee replacement for those dodgy knees? unless you know somebody who has contacts with his trainers that can verify his knees will be fine its very risky to trust Nadal these days, if the old knees start getting tired he doesn't have much of a chance in the later stages.

The most rediculous future on that list is Delpo at +700..he has zero chance and hasnt played on ANY surface recently....and the books think he has just as good of a shot as Djokovic? Absurd.

Nadal has lost his iron will and a lot of confidence. Can't say he has the swagger of the past anymore because people think he can be beaten.

Now the douches at betmania just informed me that they are throwing out the bet. How is it my fault that they are idiots. Next time I accidentally bet a line and it moves a ton do you think they will let me throw it out when I tell them that the line I have is no good.

what are you guys talking about, knee replacement? are you serious? if he had his knees replaced his career would be over, he didnt even have surgery, he just had knee tendonitis which restricts movement and he was recovering from that
dunno if someone can recover 100% from knee tendonitis though, someone that knows better should inform us

LoL Sorry. This was complete sarcasm. He NEEDS a double knee replacement. Or if not now, he will at some point during his career. It wont necessarily be the end for him, no more invasive than hip reconstruction (Nalbandian, Hewitt) or Tommy John.

If you guys recall, Nadal looked nearly unbeatable in the clay build-up to the French also last year. He won Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Rome and Madrid .... and probably will do the same this year. Sure he didn't lose a set in the first three rounds at Roland Garros, but then Soderling came along. All it takes is one good set from an opponent deep in the French. So I agree with most of the other thoughts here, not a good wager unless you can get a much higher price.

betting "nadal to NOT lose a set in the french" is GALACTICALLY STUPID considering that 3 of the 4 french crowns he has he lost at least 1 set

i dont feel any different. nadal should be the betting favorite to win the french. betting on him to not drop a set is dumb. barca makes no difference. the guy wants to rest a bit. the french doesn't start for 5 more wks. he'll be good to go

Take Nadal to win the French - but not in straight sets the whole way there...he may have a blip somewhere down the road but will still take the match.
