Gicquel got the 4th set! Seppi serving to start the 5th. Nice.

#107What've you got tomorrow EaglesPhan? For me, Karlovic and Haas look like the plays. Tsonga is inexperience on grass, has only had to play one real match so far in this tournament, and Karlovic has been on fire. Similarly, Cilic hasn't impressed me so far and Haas could pull the rankings upset here (though favored in the books). Thoughts?Comment -

#110What about Karlovic? especially at +4, his game is suited to grass, one of the games biggest servers if he looses its usually in tie-break unless he's playing guys like Nadal or Fed. I don't rate Tsonga too much, he's got a chance here of-course and is the better player technically but he'll have trouble dealing with Karlo's power serve.Comment -

#117Karlovic is a one trick pony, technically he's horrible, the guy can't hit basic sitters up on the net, he is so big but returns and hits the ball like a pusssy, can't even get involved in rallies but has one killer serve and wins games with it.
He just won the first set in a tie-break because Tsonga messed up on one of his points and Karlovic served straight aces.
I can't complain as I got a bet on the guy but this is as boring as tennis gets.Comment -

Why Berdych? Davydenko is 8-0 against the guy, none of the games were on grass however, when a player has a flawless record against another head to head there is a match up problem between the two. Something in Davydenko's game makes it very hard for Berdych to get anything from it, last time they played Berdych got trashed 6-1, 6-1.

As for that parlay, the crappy odds your getting there just arent worth the risk. I think Roddick is a lock, Serena close to it. I would rather take a quarter of that money and bet Dayvadenko going off at like -120 when he should be -900.Comment -

#129Wimbledon Record: 8-7 (+5.50)
Round of 16
1. Parlay (Haas,Wozniacki,Hewitt)
Pays 1.27:1. All have advantageous matches and are playing exceptionally well right now. Wozniacki will have the toughest time as Lisicki is no push over.
2. Ferrero -125: I just find it hard not to like what JCF has done so far at this year's Wimbledon. He completely outclassed Youzhny and was able to out duel Fernando Gonzalez. I've seen a lot of writing about Simon "finding his game" - but he's beaten three players to this point who do not have the grass court pedigree of JCF.
3. Schiavone +125: Hunch pick here. Razzano played well in the Eastbourne tournament, but has been the beneficiary of two retirements here and a woeful Jill Craybas. Schiavone has played solid tennis in beating Wozniak who was hot entiring Wimbledon and dominated Bartoli on the way out of the 3rd round.
Also liking Petrova's chances at an upset of Azarenka. The price is off IMO for players 8 vs. 10. Both are playing well and this is much closer to a 50-50 shot. Probably going to go small on it.Comment -

#1342-1 today. JCF bitch slapped Simon. Loved that play. All three futures through to the QFs. Should be some definite money making hedge opps coming up for those. Where's Lou ... didn't you say Roddick was going to lose before the 3rd round? Good call SUCKA.

#138Quarterfinals
1. (1/2 unit) Schiavone +275: Good hedge opportunity for me here against Dementieva. Schiavone is unaccustomed to being in a spot to advance to a Slam semi, but Dementieva really hasn't had any tests in her run to this point. If Schiavone continues her solid 1st serve, Dementieva's nerves could always get the best of her.
2. (1/2 unit) Lisicki +190: Lisicki has put together a great run to the QF and possesses the game to potentially trouble #1, Safina. Everyone continues to expect Dinara to flop, but to this point she hasn't. She also got her first test against Mauresmo & survived. The German is 3-1 vs. Top 10 players in 2009, having beaten two of them at Wimbledon + a win over Venus on clay in April. I think double faults are going to be big in this one as both have shown a propensity to double when they struggle. Lisicki has worked through 7, 8 & 8 doubles in three of her four matches here, so she seems to stay mentally strong. Safina, that's the question. Seeing as Lisicki beat Safina as a 17 year old at the Australian Open in 2008, I don't think she'll be overwhelmed by the moment. Both are better players now over that point and I think if Lisicki can stick her serve, she'll make Safina work to the last point and potentially cause the upset everyone has been looking for.Comment -

#139Lisicki had a shot today, but showed her youth against Safina who was ridiculous with the double faults. Got both ladies futures in the semis, so a shot to have them go head-2-head. Will probably hedge out on Dementieva against Serena depending on the price. I think Safina is living on borrowed time, so I will probably ride with Venus' future and nothing more. Still looking at the men for tomorrow. Possible hedge on Hewitt against Roddick. Other matches look fairly straight forward, although tempted to go against Djokovic, just don't know if Haas has enough.Comment -

#140Don't see anything to take at the current prices for Wednesday. Not going to hedge on Roddick just yet as I think he has played very well in this tournament and Hewitt really dug himself out of a hole against an off&on hobbled Stepanek. I expect a fight, but I'll sit tight on my Roddick future. No value on the Federer, Murray matches to me and as much as I want to take Haas, Djokovic has really been playing well here.Comment
