Fed/Wawa ust SMASHED the match TB.
No "throwing the match". Paes/Steps are multiple Grand Slam Doubles Champs and just legitimately won the second set. Geez!Comment -

#392[QUOTE=JC1186;21375278]C'mon Matt! Half the time your bet loses it's because the other player/team is throwing the match/losing deliberately. That's just weak.

There was some bad plays that chapped my butt today, I tend to overthink things at times. It made sense at the time for fed to conserve energy and for WaWa to go gets some medical rest.Comment -

#394In fact, as I look at the draw I see that Wawa would have played Fed, had he won. I really think he pulled a Serena here, and tried to make it look good too. I think he is that type of guy. Probably didn't want to face his buddy Fed, now that he is an aging tennis player with one foot out the door and figured he would throw him a bone. I really think that played on his mind. Stan is not a hyper-competitive lunatic like Nadal and Djoker. He can take it or leave it.Comment -

#398I am sorry if I sound offensive but this Wawrinka guy quit his family for training, as he said he realised he had only a few years to make impact in the world of tennis. Do you really think he will deliberately lose in the 4th round of a 1000 Masters event only because a fellow countryman may (if he beats Haas before that) encounter him in the quarterfinals?Comment -

Matt only loses bets when the guy he bet on throws the match. It's always rigged when he loses.
I think some of these guys (Andy Murray, Stan Wawrinka) actually browse SBR before matches and see what side hes on, then decide if they want to win their match or notComment -

#401Lol, come on patty... I know yesterday I was a bit off but it's been awhile since I complained about somethin being set up. I do believe WaWA lost straight up but Murray..... If you have a chance to go back and watch the entire match, something seemed very "trend like" the whole way. Both guys dumping there serves 0-40 to end each set, especially when no sign of it coming. Milos Barely ever does that. Then set 3 was absolutely fcked.Comment -

#403Thanks man. I'll have it for tomorrow while the GF is at work. That gives me time to review it. My units will be in the red a bit with around 50% winning percentage at the moment. Waiting for the next tourney is the wise idea ATMComment -

#405One could only guess whether he cared, how much he cared, etc. I think the probability of him being determined is pretty high (though I may be wrong, of course).
I haven't watched tennis much but from what I've seen, Stan is not one of those players who express their emotions a lot, he has seemed relatively calm. Even when he won the last point in the Australian Open final, he wasn't that jubilant.Comment -

#408Hi matt! I know you are strong in all areas so what do you think about Smyczek@Stakhovsky game?

#409I think Stak is the better player but the motivation to win a challenger even might not be there. Smychek @2.50 small stake would be my play. I'm skipping it tho.
good luckComment -

Thanks for the response matt!
I'll ask a question innocently, really because I know you have a lot of experience in this area..
Why a player go and play another tournament, one week before Miami, and give up 10 days of rest (especially in an area with high temperatures) if he is not with motivation to win the tournament and especially his money? (I realized it was a prestigious challenger relative to other,$125,000 Prize). It's all about warm up?Last edited by JustSomeCash; 03-14-14, 12:57 PM.Comment -

#413I think so. You can sit in a hotel for 10-14 days or you can play a few matches and get the rythm. Guys like Stak/Rosol/Istomin are not rich either. I didn't realize this challenger was worth that much. It could give Smychek a boost as well. He hasn't won much cash on the tour as well. Harrison may dump his match later if he's in the qualifiers sunday or Monday. I havnt looked yet tho
Yet I bet on Stak, think he should make it against Timy.
Let us know about Harrison qualy gameComment -

#420no...total games won for the player (in this case Djokovic)...analogous to the team total for team sports...
certainly not available everywhere...under 12.5 would win if Djoko wins in straights but never pushed to a 7-5 or 7-6...or if Benny actually beat him and kept him under 13 games won totalComment
