That Hewitt-Lopez one is a toss-up. I actually lean Hewitt because he's seen him and handled him before, including this year although it was in Australia where Hewitt was playing insane to start the year.

Monfils-Nishikori is one I want nothing to do with. As baba pointed out above, Monfils didn't look much engaged today, he just played someone who played like dog shit for a set and then was struggling the whole 2nd set to stay on-serve. Monfils' effort level was medium at best. I think Nishikori brings an A+ effort level. He's been training in Halle for a week already. Monfils might amp it up to go with the level of the competition, but too many question marks in that one for me. Kinda the same reason for passing Hewitt-Lopez.

I'm hoping for two things, Hewitt or Lopez to show in a comprehensive win and for Gulbis to flame out to jump on whomever wins for a small Futures play.

Parlays are fine. My rule is stick to two players. I usually hit more than I miss on those in the long run. In retrospect, probably should have looked elsewhere since Lu is okay on grass. But we don't win everything.

Wawrinka is not great on grass. Querrey has a good track record here and his serve has been humming so far. He needs that for cheap points.

it was wierd... LU knew where karlovic was serving, kinda like federer returning karlovic. i saw karlovic's record on grass and i thought he would own LU. Perhaps the worst returning ive ever seen Karlovic involved in today...

Ivo won 44/51 of his first serves and had 21 aces. Lu knew nothing bout where Ivo was serving and comparing it to Fed is just as laughable as u saying Murray will win Wimbledon with his current form.

If u have a look, Lu plays a ton of TBs on grass and their last grass encounter was 3 TBs. With TBs, u should b well aware that it's a bit of a toss up and with big servers, if they miss their first serves they will get in trouble during TBs and that's what happened here. I remember a classic example of this earlier this year between Ivo and Brands. Ivo won every point on serve in the set except 1 during the TB and lost the set.

Nah. Her serve #s spooked me, but I figured class would win out and maybe she just had one bad day. Usually screw myself on parlays when I look for a partner too long. Liked Kohlschreiber. Thought Nishikori and should have done that with a smaller risk, but it is what it is.
