    BetRoyal
I'm trying to withdraw funds from my BetRoyal account, which I stupidly opened because my buddy has an account with them. Had I known about their reputation and stumbled on this site earlier, I would've gone another direction.

Anyhow, when I deposited 3 weeks ago, there were many different options for withdrawing from you account. Now, the only one that exists currently is **, which tacks on $100 fee to process. I'm only trying to withdrawl $900, so it doesn't make a whole lot of sense for me to use that option. I called customer service and the guy on the other end, other than being hard to understand, couldn't tell me anything other than that there were "policy changes" on their end.

I'm not an expert online gambler so I'm hoping someone on here can give me some clarity on what's going on with my money and why I have to pay $100 to get it out, instead of using the free options that were available before.

BetRoyal (SBR Rated D-) is pretty well known for changing it's rules in the middle of the game however, sometimes these types of processing issues happen from time to time and considering the current state of the industry it's happening more often than not. My advice would be if they're giving you an option to withdraw the funds then by all means take it before they change their mind on that too.

I have taken the time to list a few books that are quite a bit better than any of the SBG Global family of books that offer better processing methods than you've mentioned above sir.

    5Dimes (SBR Rated A+)
    Bookmaker (SBR Rated A+)
    Bodog (SBR Rated A)
    BetIslands (SBR Rated B-)
    DSI (SBR Rated A+)
    Legends (SBR Rated A+)
    Heritage (SBR Rated B+)

    Non-U.S. books:

    Pinnacle (SBR Rated A+)
    TheGreek (SBR Rated A+)
    BetCris (SBR Rated A+)
    BetFair (SBR Rated A)

I didn't open an acct with The Greek before they left the US market and was transferred to Heritage. So I do not have an account with Heritage and is it possible to sign up?

You can get a Heritage acct if you go through TheGreek. Give their CS an email.

You might just want to pay the fee and cut your losses. They will likely pay you without issue since it's a relatively small balance but you don't want to win there especially with the bad season the books are starting out with.

So, how common is it for a book to change withdrawal methods daily? Is this a common practice of the more reputable sites?

Depends on which book you use really sir. Some are better than others in regards to payouts. For example: 5Dimes (SBR Rated A+) offers 1 free payout every 31 days to it's players.

As a past victim of SBG I would take this advice and get out ASAP.

Yeah. It's obvious to me that SBG is a little shady. But I don't think they are going to straight up steal me money. They are not being up front about their methods for withdrawal with their customers and I have a big problem with that, as I'm sure everyone who's had issues with them has. I don't mind that they do this. I understand that online gambling is under fire and that they have to abide by certain practices in order stay in business. But not communicating this to customers is unacceptable. I'll take your advice and go to a more reputable site, but I'm going to wait and see if some of the other withdrawal options pop up in the next week or so. I don't need the money or anything, I'm just disappointed with the lack of customer service. As highly competitive as the business appears to be, every customer has to matter so slacking on service is unacceptable. When a person's money is involved, every legitimate sportsbook should be making every effort to make customers feel secure playing with them.

Should books be honest and up front, yes...are they, no..not always.

Should players be cautious, aware of reputations and hidden cost, yes. Do they always look for these things, no.

To the OP, did you accept any type of sign up bonus? If so royal will likely require you meet a set amount of action before cashing out. The 100 dollar fee is just a life lesson, be glad its not 900 or more.

Of course if you brave, and have the funds you can hedge it out. Bet the royal balance on a ml dog, and bet an equal amt to win equal to your risk somewhere else, hope the fave wins and your out of royal completely, but there is of course risk in this method.

Take your money, post up at a sponsor book and become a pro, plenty of sponsors who offer a nice bonus that would offset that fee and give free payouts too.

I respectfully disagree because they're well known for doing just that sir.

I remember this case particularly back in the day where here was a tout in CT. on the radio who was giving plays. that gentlemen went on a great winning streak run and SBG Global (SBR Rated D-) went back and deleted ALL the players that bet on the tips from the radio siting a "syndicate rule". A LOT of victims in that flat out theft job.

I am absolutely amazed that BetRoyal is still operating. It was over 5 years ago I think that Bill helped me fully secure about 40K+ from them which they paid over a 9 month period. That was what brought me to this site originally and I'm glad to see Bill is still fighting the good fight.

The reason we are telling you to become an SBRpro is because of all the great rewards/perks you get for being one sir. Here's a thread that will give you all the details surrounding this offer sir.

Best if you can get your money out of Betroyal and into Heritage account. Heritage isn't perfect book but miles ahead of Betroyal!

Personally I would go with 5dimes. Heritage hasn't paid the piper to get their A+ rating. Probably coming soon but technically they are still a "private" book.

Personally, I feel 5Dimes (SBR Rated A+) is a better shop to play at for the recreational player. I based this on many reasons however the most obvious one being all the wagering options they offer. Now on the other hand if you need a book that carters to professionals then I'd choose Bookmaker (SBR Rated A+).
