Cascade promised payment thread

A guy from Bookmaker called me about their football specials, I told him if he could arrange a transfer from Cascade to Bookmaker I would play with them.

He went to check, but called back that there was some litigation and they wouldn't touch Cascade with a ten foot pole.

There will be no bailouts. Cascade also owes bookmakers in Costa Rica and Ireland that I know of. The debt is also too high and the player base too sophisticated.

I never had an account with Cascade -- but I could have. I remember one year I briefly considered them, when they were highly rated here.

Players just like me have bucks sitting in this book, or money that has disappeared down the rathole, while the book keeps operating, taking in new money.

So, I assume tomorrow SBR will downgrade to F, and use whatever political pull they have in CR to put pressure on this renegade book?

Maybe Cascade was just trying to take pressure off them by making up a scapegoat?

Obviously, Cascade can't exactly be trusted on their word.

If they owed me money (and they certainly could have, i was about to deposit there towards the end of football season last year) I'd be in Costa Rica looking for it.

I'm not sure that would accomplish anything, but I'd be trying.

I'm not coming to the defense of Cascade here, and I realize people are PISSED, but I think posting of Lenny or any owner/operator's real name should be off limits.

If I were to start a post listing the names and personal info of deadbeat/**********/scam customers for others to see publicly I imagine I'd be lynched for being unethical. If so, the door should swing both ways IMO.

If a few these guys got a shovel upside the head, there would be a lot less theft in this industry going on. What makes this worse is that he has kept his business open and has been soliciting deposits all while telling anyone with money there wanting to withdraw FU.

Lenny stole 6 figures from me and I've been warning people about Lenny(whose name is fake) since December. Hopefully you believe me by now that you've seen his true colours. Why don't you ask the Shrink why Lenny renegged on his mediation? I find it amazing that Lenny steals about $2,000,000 and they're trying to protect Lenny by not letting me disclose his real name.

I don't get it SBR? You protected this guy last week (John, you know you did) and then say you are gonna help everybody pursue their legal options, BUT....... you don't want to put the stiffs real name on here? What is up with that? Transparency is the only way to "out" these folks and keep them out of the industry. Otherwise, they just pop back up somewhere else, scamming again.

Well said Katstale. It's sickening how these so called watchdog sites don't want to let people know this crook's real name after he steals millions from everybody. They're happy to let him hide behind his fake name.

No, SBR will not offer real names. If it is public information listed on WhoIs or business registrations then it may become available to you. However, SBR will not attempt to publicize the name of individuals because it has been determined that they are slow-paying, stiffing or taking part in unethical practices.

Alright - Saturday, Sunday and Monday football have come and gone. I don't see anyone saying they were paid. In fact, the 4th and 5th calls for more post-up money came from Cascade to me today - two calls for cryin' out loud. Bill has also said there will be no bail out due to the large amount owed.

SBR - it is time to see:
1) The F rating
2) The scam alert press release
3) The options available to players

Of course SBR won't help you out, in particular Bill dozer. Here is why. These guys work in CR. They don't want to have to look over there shoulders. Lenny has been there a long time. Knows alot of "unsavory" locals. Lenny is like Tej now. He don't go anywhere without backup. Here's to hoping to morons who send him money lose it all so some of you poor bastasrds have a chance. It seems even Mickey over at CRIS has turned his back on his former "BEST FRIEND". Just goes to show you don't trust anyone offshore...in the long run they will all **** you in a heartbeat.

SBR has now rated Cascade as an F book. Promise kept, tho a bit late.

Has the scam alert been issued to the press? If so, has there been any reportage on it?

If so, could SBR post the links? (If a story is in Spanish I can translate the essence of it on this forum.)

I have no personal stake in Cascade, but if a formerly A rated book can steal millions of players money, it could happen to ANY book.

SBR is the most respected watchdog in the industy. They can't put a literal gun to the head of a renegade like Cascade, but they can use a figurative one, through the press mainly.

Or any contacts in the CR govt. Of course I know that Cascade will have much deeper pockets than SBR, and thus can buy off (and likely have) more - and more powerful - CR politicians.

But another big and once respected book going down with player money tends to destroy the rep of ALL the CR books --- and if it continues the mordida, the bribes, will one day dry up if the bleeding isn't stopped.

It would seem to be in CR's own interest to enact Australia-like laws to make their country into a beacon of internet gambling safety - and stave of US competition when it finally does arrive. (And someday, it surely will.)

On the other hand, expecting banana republic politicians to act in a far-seeing manner is akin to expecting brain-damaged fools like G. Bush to act like a statesman. Impossible.

In banana republics greed and stupidity are a deadly parlay.

I cashed out at Cascade before it all went boom, and Pokerking was one reason for it. Why would he make up a story about stolen 6 figure amounts..

Glad you took my warnings. Glad that I was able to help you avoid the disaster I experienced. I tried to warn everybody because I could feel that Lenny was going to stiff everybody like he stiffed me.
