#7sbr lists WSEX as the parent/host company for matychbook. http://www.sportsbookreview.com/sbr/matchbook/
and looking through the threads people claim both lots of connections and some claim little to none.
now will you answer my questions chuck? or someone at sbr??Comment -

#8The connection is what SBR stated on the link you posted. Since I have said there is little connection to WSEX, why don't you single out the posters that say there is "lots of connection" and ask them. Those posters might be the ones that said WSEX was going to shut down and stiff everyone before the start of football.Comment -

#10Hello miektheman,
I can't provide you any type of official answer. What I can say with my experience offshore, is that actual ownership of Central American and Island books is often kept quiet. Sometimes because of US ownership, sometimes simple privacy.
To the best of my knowledge from industry gossip (not facts), is that WSEX has a minority ownership of Matchbook.com. As with any business this can change over time by buying and selling of interest in a business.Comment -

#13I wouldn't be surprised if this is connected to speculation elsewhere today, so not entirely sure what motives are at play.Comment -

#14The connection between WSEX and Matchbook is Euro Sports Exchange.
From WSEX's website (FAQ section):
This site is owned and operated by EURO SPORTS EXCHANGE LIMITED, 11-15 WILLIAM ROAD, LONDON NW1 3ER, U.K.
All financial transaction are processed through EURO SPORTS EXCHANGE LIMITED, 11-15 WILLIAM ROAD, LONDON NW1 3ER, U.K.
Are you licensed?
Yes. EURO Sports Exchange is licensed and regulated by the UK government division of Peterborough (click to see license).
World Sports Exchange is licensed and regulated by the government of Antigua and Barbuda (click to see license), a sovereign nation in the eastern Caribbean.
In the cashier section of Matchbook, it's mentioned that all financial transaction are processed through Euro Sports Exchange. I received a moneybookers payout from them about 15 hours back.
Of course, ownership is not known unless someone digs information about Euro Sports Exchange.
EDIT: If the above information is already listed by SBR in its reviews, then my apologies.Last edited by rookie; 10-15-09, 07:03 AM.Comment
