carib Sportsbook (SBR rating B) website blocked by Denial of Service attack
carib tells SBR: Since 9am EST today our website came under a DOS Attack. Our Technical Team is diligently working on restoring full access to our site. We anticipate your understanding and sincerely apologize for any inconveniences being caused by this attack on our services.
A denial of Service attack is caused by excessive requests to a website's server which in turn leaves little or no resources for legitimate user traffic. The sportsbook's information and databases are not "hacked" or compromised. In the event of website downtime bettors can find a list of all LiveChat links here as well as all sportsbook phone numbers here. This is the second time is the last six months that carib Sports has been down due to a DoS attack.

Update 8.18.09: carib tells SBR: "We are pleased to report that carib has recovered from the DOS attack experienced yesterday. Full access to the website has been restored. We appreciate the understanding and patience our members have extended to us while our services were interrupted."

carib Sports (SBR rating B) under Denial of Service attack
carib Management: Sadly, our customers have been unable to use the website since yesterday at 5:00pm EST. We are under a DOS Attack and our technicians are working diligently to rectify this problem and restore our services. To our customers, we apologize sincerely for the inconveniences they are experiencing.
carib tells SBR that players can call for account and balance information and they will be able to take hand tickets beginning at 1:00pm EST if the site is not fully functioning at that time. carib's phone number is 1-800-611-7000; email is HelpDesk@caribSports.com.
Update 12:15 PM: carib management states the matter has been addressed and players can use the website. Players who experience any errors with the book's banking page today are asked to call the sportsbook.

carib Sports (SBR rating B) returns $150 to player
The sportsbook's management assures SBR that this was an isolated incident and that players will not be punished for buying back the otherside of a pending wager in the future.

3/12/2008 05:26 PM
caribSports (SBR rating B) confiscates player's $150; cites "line manipulation."
carib allowed the sharp player to wager with a $250 limit but told him that if he bet on both sides of the same game, the second wager would immediately be graded as a loss.
Player: Fast forward til yesterday March 11, I bet the Lakers 2h total over 107 +105 for my max ($150) and another time at over 107 -105 for 157.50. Minutes later I bet under 107 +105 for $150 deciding to shorten my position. The third and last bet of under 107 was graded a loss with the game still going. I have used a wide array of bookies but noone has been giving me troubles with this. Had they cancelled all wagers right away I wouldn't have said anything but in my opinion grading pending bets as losses before the outcome is known is theft .
SBR has asked carib Sportsbook to refund the player for the wager he did not lose and to decline service to those who do not abide by rules or have desired wagering patterns. carib will remain under review while this case is pending.

I-Sportsbook (SBR rating D+) defects from Jazette Enterprises Limited (Sportsbook.com Group); players still unpaid. Turnkey Sportsbook, I-Sportsbook.com left JEL, which has been unable to pay players for over two months, on the 15th of April for the Futurebet Gaming Network. Although many Futurebet white label sportsbooks are able to pay their players, I-Sportsbook client funds appear to be in limbo between the two hosting operators. The new version of I-Sportsbook.com claims it does not have player balances from when the site was hosted on the Sportsbook.com/Jazette servers. The situation illustrates the added liability in playing with turnkey properties and why most are rated significantly lower than operator-owned flagship brands.

Player:
On April 13th i tried to log onto my account and it said invalid username i spoke with a chat rep and they said it was because they were switching servers (which was scheduled to start on the 15th according to their website) they said i should be able to log on in a few days. I tried the next day and that chat rep said i was never a member and that until i remembered my username there was nothing he could do. Well the next day i was able to get to the cashier page and withdraw all funds they have still not reached me, each day i receive a new answer as to why my funds have yet to reach me. The current answer im getting over and over is that they need approval from the owner since my account was with the old network. I get this answer from EFS caribbean who claims they have nothing to do with I-Sportsbook.com anymore. And the people at I-Sportsbook say they cant help me because my account was with the old network and can only contact the owner through email. I was a member with I-Sportsbook.com for 7 years without every having a problem before. I would like to thank you before you even reply because if i ever gamble on the internet again i know which sites to trust from your website. Is there anyway i can contact the owner am i being scammed?

carib Sports (SBR rating B) responds to Email Response Test score:
"My name is Liz and I am writing on behalf of caribsports.com. We just wanted to let you know that we appreciate your reviews of our website and services as this helps us to make improvements where needed to better be able to serve our members.

Some weeks ago you had rated our e-mail services as poor due to a very long delay in responding (for which we apologize); we wanted to let you know that we have since made the necessary changes to ensure that delays no longer occur when using e-mails to communicate with us.

However, please note that we always try our very best to reply to all queries in a timely fashion. To make this process even more efficient, some time ago we created our own “in house” messaging system which at this time is used by 90% of our members for communications as they are guaranteed a response with 3-5 minutes."
Results from this month’s Email Response Test will be released Saturday.

SBR Bill Dozer reports: carib Sports (SBR rating B-) reviews phone wager complaint (posted 4/25/05) and agrees to suggested compromise. Player considers issue resolved.

SBR Bill Dozer reports: Player has phone wager dispute with carib Sports (SBR rating B-). carib has refused to allow the player to listen to the wager recording since he complained two days ago. The player believes the clerk may have mistakenly recorded a NBA playoff wager on the Sonics instead of the Celtics. Management tells SBR that they plan to have a meeting about this issue tomorrow. SBR expects the player to have the ability to hear his recorded phone wager as stated in carib’s rules. SBR rarely receives negative feedback from carib players.

WSEX (SBR rating A) The "class of the caribbean" makes some noise in 2005. This is one sportsbook that has focused on taking care of the player while passing on expensive marketing campaigns including player bonuses. WSEX management was guarded on their expansion plans but word on the street is WSEX is back and we would expect to see more of them in a variety of media in 2005.

Canbet (SBR rating B) Reports half-year larger than expected loss of $4.1 million dollars - Industry watchers, taking their cue from a late December profit warning, were expecting a loss of less than $3.5 million - SBR, for the second time in a month, lowers Canbet from a B+ to a B rating noting the company still has one of the strongest balance sheets in the industry compared to their caribbean competitors. However, continuing losses brings in question managements ability to compete successfully in the low-vig market.
