#38Bitcoin by far the most erotic/volatile currency in the world
That's where all the problems come into play as it is easy to have $40 swings in a day
Most other currencies move fractions of pennies per dayComment -

#39Thanks Domestic.
I am only really interested as I am sick of paying Skrill's 4.5% fee to exchange AUD to and from USD and Euros. So if I am going to lose that much with bitcoin exchange fees it may not end up being that attractive to me.
If I don't care about anonymity, should I still download a separate wallet or is it fine to just use the Coinjar one for everything?
I don't anticipate holding much bitcoin for long. Just want to be able to buy it at the rate 5Dimes will give me for it a few minutes later. And be able to cashout and sell it a few minutes later at the same rate. Hopefully.
If Blockchain.info got wiped off the face of the web you would still be able to access your bitcoins assuming you download a backup of the wallet/private key.Comment -

#40So does JetWin (user chooses their currency at time of signup).
about it. And as I've told you before, if the book converts to fiat at time of deposit then you're not subjected to "volatile swings". Quit posting the same erroneous/misleading shit, day after day. 5Dimes has jumped aboard, soon as the other sponsors do you'll be on the btc jock faster than a fat kid on a cupcake.

To fix the problem, just cAsh out when you win. It's not very hard. And you would get the amount of the value when you cash out.Comment -

#45Did I hear something about not using coinbase for sportsbooks? Like they were blocking it or something? Plus coinbase has all your info. I'm kind of new to btc and have sent a minimal amount from electrum wallet, but of course this generates a minimal feeComment -

If you want to preserve your anonymity for buying and selling, I think localbitcoins or mycelium's local exchange feature is your only hope.
If you don't mind, how did you get the BTC you have?<deleted></deleted>Comment -

#49As zola mentioned on page 1, there is an easy workaround. Just make a blockchain.info wallet, handle all your transactions there, and just use coinbase for buying and selling.

#50Yep, this is fine. Electrum probably even better to use than blockchain.info in this situation as it uses multiple send and receive addresses.Comment -

It is not easy to get swindled out of bitcoin. That's like saying don't have an online bank account because a scammer might convince you to electronically transfer money to him.
The only valid point you've made in any thread is that there is volatility in the value of bitcoins, and that can be mitigated/eliminated by playing at 5Dimes or Heritage where they convert your BTC to USD. Then you never have to hold bitcoins for more than a few minutes. There are plenty of us, however, who are willing to accept the market risk of holding bitcoins. Much like Dell Computers, Overstock.com and many other retailers who accept bitcoins as payment for goods.
Just stop with your agenda. Please.Comment -

#58off wires today..................
Market players remain concerned about possible regulation of the virtual currency among other adverse events in the industry.
New York's Department of Financial Services proposed a BitLicense on July 17. As per the proposal, firms would have to obtain a license to engage in the virtual currency business.
Some market analysts have expressed concerns over the proposal, saying increased regulation would pressurize the Bitcoin industry.Comment -
