KEY point: "...when used correctly. Nitrogen Sports does not need to hold player balances. Players can redeem their balance after each wager is graded..."
No reason for Nitro to hold any of your $$$ overnight ... send your balance back to your wallet at the end of your gambling day

been with them the last couple weeks - each week had a fast payout monday night. I took out .07 and .094 and got the btc almost immediately while leaving in my .25 initial deposit (its not big money but wanted to test them out and everything went fine)
A little upset there is no golf lines for the ryder cup and its wednesday. So be sure to check what sports you like to wager to see if they have the options you need.

Keep in mind that many of these books are not apples to apples anymore. The risk is very low to the deposits of bettors in the context of a bitcoin-only sportsbook. When someone hits the first six figure parlay or teaser and the coins for that winner and all the balance holders come out just as fast, we will all know a lot more. We could suddenly see a rule of $1000 in winnings per day and later find out they had a terrible week.
This takes us back to the Neteller days when a book the catered to Canadians could be judged instantly on their Neteller payout performance. Many book are aggressively adopting Bitcoins this year. 5Dimes and Heritage are the newest. The big UK book should be next after this licensing stuff settles.

It appears they have a 25BTC max payout on parlays. About 10k.

It sure seems the industry might be changing all though if the American government clamps down on bitcoin that ends that for US players
United States could pressure bitcoin vendors and to not dealing gambling transactions to USA residents

I use nitrogen and have for over a year. Have never had one problem and if I did I know customer support would be all over it. They are top notch. Amazing.
And JJ, coinbase is already doing that in some cases. However it's very easy to go around this. All you have to do is withdraw to a BlockChain wallet or something then send to your exchange. That's sort of point of Bitcoin is to be free to do what you want and there's not much the govt can do to stop it.

Their lines for the NFL are -105. They use Pinnacle lines. In markets outside of the NFL the tack on a tad more to each side. They also have an exchange with a 2% commission. They have a poker site on their own network. A 10 BTC free roll is in the mix. I've been using them for almost a year with no problems.

You have stated many times that you are confused by bitcoins (not really sure why), but this statement proves it. There is nothing for the U.S. government to clamp down on. That's kind of the point of bitcoins....

"Over 15 online betting sites that take bitcoin are now covered by Sportsbook Review."
I'm not sure what you mean by "covered".
I went to your bitcoin sportsbook ratings guide.
There are 10 books listed, only 2 are rated, and only 1 bitcoin only book - Nitrogen (the other rated book is 5 Dimes, which has been rated for years).
The other 8 books listed only have links to their site.
What coverage of 15 books are you referring to?

Wow. This is a very interesting site. I am tempted to try something new although I have had reservations about bitcoin's safety long term up to now.

Hi Scooter,
Always good to hear from you. Hope all is well.
We actually are playing with the format of the page. There were around 20 shops listed this morning, but we are listing traditional sportsbooks if you will right now, so th betting exchanges were removed. Ratings will come with player feedback and as shops are reviewed further beyond the existing coverage you see.

They literally feed directly from pinnacle's site using API which a lot of bitcoin books do.

The safety or the market volatility? Safety is pretty much dependent on the competence of the user. The bitcoin system/network itself is very safe. That's what makes it valuable.

Good time to get into bitcoins.
On Tuesday, PayPal announced that it was partnering with Bitcoin processors BitPay, Coinbase and GoCoin to allow its merchants to accept the cryptocurrency for digital goods like online games and downloadable songs

I am clueless on bitcoins. How do I buy them?
Also, since you have been there for that long, how did you convert your bitcoin payout to dollars?
Thanks.

You can buy directly from people or use an exchange to buy/sell back and forth.

As zola said, Coinbase is a good one. What I did is linked my bank account to Coinbase. I then buy bitcoins from my bank account. You go to Coinbase and click buy bitcoins.
When you want cash, go to Coinbase and click sell bitcoins and the amount you want to sell. Coinbase then sends $ into your bank.
When you have bitcoins in your Coinbase account it's best to transfer the bitcoins to an ewallet such as Blockchain.info. Make all your transfers to and from books with Blockchain.info.
It seems complicated if you haven't done it before but it's just a couple of clicks and easy after the first time.
Coinbase does not serve Australia so I am looking for another similar service.
Igot.com services Australia and claims to charge "the real" price and a 1% fee on top. But I am looking at their website and buy price is US$417 each whilst Coinbase says US$407.
And in the 15 mins I have had both sites open Igot price moved up to US$421 and coinbase went down to $406.
What's going on there does anyone know?
And does anyone know an Aussie facing service that does use the "real price"?

There are basically three leading bitcoin exchange at present, Coinjar, Igot and btcmarkets.net.
Of these three; btcmarkets.net is the only one that currently displays an order book so you are buying from sellers that use the site rather than the site itself. For whatever reason the bitcoin buy prices from these Aus exchanges tend to be a percent or so higher than the US exchange average(Good for selling I guess). I guess the trade off is that it is a lot easier and quicker to buy bitcoins from an Australian exchange than it is from US exchanges, just as it is easier for us to sign up and join our local aussie books compared to the lengthy process it takes people to sign up, get verified and withdrawal from a US/Costa Rican book.
I personally buy most of my coins from Coinjar as they tend to have the best buy price. I have also used btcmarkets.net and I can also vouch for them. The verification is easy at both and the deposit/withdrawal time is basically the same.
tl;dr: As Australians we just have to eat the slightly higher than average buy price or hunt around on local bitcoins for a really good deal in our local area.

Thanks Domestic.
I am only really interested as I am sick of paying Skrill's 4.5% fee to exchange AUD to and from USD and Euros. So if I am going to lose that much with bitcoin exchange fees it may not end up being that attractive to me.
If I don't care about anonymity, should I still download a separate wallet or is it fine to just use the Coinjar one for everything?
I don't anticipate holding much bitcoin for long. Just want to be able to buy it at the rate 5Dimes will give me for it a few minutes later. And be able to cashout and sell it a few minutes later at the same rate. Hopefully.
