Exactly both parties are @ fault. Deposit should be refunded and the bet graded as no action. 5 dimes does not want his business close his account and everybody guess what case closed. Will I continue to play there yes because I have nothing to worry about. Tony had one issue about a bonus with me . I did not run to a fourm. I stated my case. He tried to pull that tough act. I said ok see ya. Talked to him the next day he reopened my account.. Just play fair you get treated fair..

Seeing this along with your entire betting history would help everyone to form an opinion but does it really matter? You can't prove you didn't past post and Tony can't prove you did. You're getting the deposit back. Call it a day and move on.

Even the free bets SBR Sportsbook has the same issues and our selection is probably 1/200th of 5 Dimes. We have Russian soccer going off at 4AM that is moved up for some reason maybe a Putin speech, TV, weather, whatever. We dont want those shot takers either. In this thread you have the shot takers that even after they have seen the conclusive evidence they go to plan B and claim the book left the line up intentionally, ala Beantowns now infamous shot. 5D losses a customer but if a guy is going to past bet they don't want him. Pinnacle has a very similar policy. The player is also the loser because they were one of the only places to have such an obscure event.

Why do you want to get rid of shot takers so badly? They probably lose as often as anyone else.

And no matter how many you humiliate or ban, there is always going to be another gambler who will take great odds or bet late if the book allows the opportunity.

If Tony just cancelled bets and flagged each person he caught doing it, he would not have to be too inventive to use their data to develop an alert system to find his own errors.

Good point. I have a confession; over 30 years ago my local gave me an O/U on a baseball game of 8.5 that was already 4-4 in the 3rd inning. Fack it, I was a kid and I played it. But I played it along with my card at the same bet. When I saw Shady at payday he said nice call on that Over with a bit of an evil grin, don't do it again and winked at me. I took the wink to mean I would have one less pinky finger if I did that again. He paid it as a W.

So your question is valid. But as I explained we have races going off every minute or two and games being played worldwide every couple of minutes 24 hours a day. We have better things to do than figure when a game started that the players went 30-0 with all limit bets.

I get that. Be tough and less people will do it. Reduce the cost that way.

I don't know what the real cost is for a largish shop like 5D, but looking from the outside it just looks a bit like beheading the goose for laying one bad egg, when I'd imagine a warning would work just as well for most people.

the percentage is not 100 that every bet placed past post means someone was taking a shot at the book on purpose. it is entirely possible that a small percentage of past post bets were placed without the bettor knowing he is betting a past post bet. maybe less than 1%, but still possible. jay should have been treated a little better. not as a thief. lots of circumstantial shit - no proof of anything except making a past post bet. just void the bet talk to whoever was responsible for leaving that bet up past post and keep track of who makes past post bets. after 2 or 3 past post bets - close the account send the players balance to him. all without all the drama.

Yep. I'm in that camp. Most disputes should never reach a forum much less to someone at SBR. Someone earlier mentioned the Euro books void the bet and send the player a form email, case closed. The player may or may not complain. But making it personal tends to entrench and invigorate both sides. Good for SBR traffic but otherwise unnecessary. Kind of fun though.

Irrelevant. 5Dimes is in Costa Rica, and Costa Rica doesn't have a gaming board; the sportsbooks located here aren't licensed whatsoever. They operate as "customer service call centers".
