#37assuming he's playing full steam for the sake of argument, also assume he has no other fouls on his record. how is taking away his EARNED bonus based on previously agreed-upon and FULFILLED contract justified just from the fact that he's betting steam?
boot him, ban him, limit him, sure. but taking away his earned bonus is the same as taking away his winnings b/c he played steam.. neither is acceptable
would you take his winnings b/c he bet steam? then why steal his bonus?Comment -

#39Why is phoenix giving a 50% free play and -105/-105 to a $10,000 deposit?
Are you guys that desperate for post ups? Or are you just nuts.
Can I get in on this deal? I don't play steam.Comment -

#40What earned bonus? He posted up and never even touched the play.
I will do the following. Keep the 5K...play it, but stay off the steam. Simple as that. If you hit the steam only we are back to square 1.
You good with that?
Next...we can only determine your rollover after you play your freeplay.
(Bonus winnings + deposit) x 8. All plays made since your deposit will be credited toward your rollover amount as well.Comment -

You don't like the way I play, so ban me and give me 50% cash of the fp.

#44I mean, it seem best that we 'part ways'. You've made it pretty clear you don't want my action, I don't want this freeplay situation to drag on further if you credit it back and I hit one of your steam plays and we go back to 'square one' whatever that means.
By my records I am way above rollover requirements.Comment -

#45I have placed my offer with you. It gives you back your confiscated dough which was your demand. So now just dont play steam and all is back to the harmony it was before this post.
Yes we do take that action.
QT, BW, Tiger, RDave, Al Hollyw, and others we all know ie Spanky, Shrink, etc. None of them have a complaint ever BTW.Comment -

#48Under your proposed offer, I play the freeplay and can cashout after that?
I don't want you to credit the freeplay and put some new requirements on it, like I said - I've met the rollover requirements since the freeplay was credited one month ago.
And what if I hit one of these steam plays by accident? I am very warey of your "square 1" terminology.Comment -

#50I understand there may be some occasions, but not every play, not 5 out of 10 plays. Just keep it good, and I will too.
(Free play winnings + deposit) x 8 was your deal. Based on your action roll will not really be an issue for you. You may be there now, I just need that play to grade have the exact math. As stated before, you will be credited for all volume since day 1 of this deposit.Comment -

#56(freeplay winnings + deposit) * 8 isn't absurd since freeplay winnings "is" the bonus amount. In most cases it's actually less than (freeplay amount + deposit) * 8. Betonline did the (freeplay amount + freeplay winnings + deposit) *X, which is just retarded since amount+winnings has no meaning.. and when they steal it, they steal amount+winnings, when obviously the only value of a used freeplay is the winnings, and the original amount is completely meaningless at that point.Comment -

#57If you played your own opinion it would be different. What I am being told is that you are on every board move. Literally every play you have, you are after the move, not before it. No actuary...just looking to beat the number to its destination.
Also, for the record, you have not even touched the freeplay at the time it was removed, so your rollover had yet to be determined.
State your case and do your thing, you have every right to be heard...just keep it factual.

I tried to warn people, but its like talking to my wife!
SBR takes the cash from BP and turns their head!
I like how all of a sudden this guy gets his freeplay back after starting a thread!
I would still like to know why they offered this guy a reload bonus if he was playing steam?
Only after he hits, do they take it away. Kind of like ucsabercats story (although he was a joke!~)Comment -

#59HeeHaww,
I got the 50% bonus on my reload of 10K, they were probably trying to reel me in. This reload was one month ago, the freeplay was taken away today.
I have spoken with the lines manager who made the decision, he felt that increasing my limits to $2k warranted taking away my freeplay. My current hot streak seems to have made him angry.
I am calling him back in 15 mins after he consults with the owner on what do do about this. He offered to give me half of the free play back which I declined.
I don't think I am leaving out any details.
On another note, why didn't you bet the freeplay earlier?Comment -

There's not much doubt that he's a non-recreational player ... probably trying / hoping to scalp / middle some money out of BetPhoenix into another book (as it looks like he successfully did on the first deposit) and earn some nice bonuses in the process.
But no matter ... if his style of play bothered BetPhoenix that much, they should have stopped this guy earlier and (at worst) pro-rated his bonus ... now that he has done enough rollover to earn the bonus, BetPhoenix can't come in now, after the fact, and do a retroactive claw-back of the bonus.Last edited by Halifax; 02-27-09, 11:42 PM.Comment -

#63I don´t know what you are so upset about, if he indeed only plays steam they have every right to remove the bonus. It is in the rules, you cannot expect to get a 50% freeplay and be allowed to only hit them when it hurts...this is a players forum, but jumping on BetPhoenix isn´t correct in this case (and i did it in other threads, so iam no shill or whatever...).
Arbers and bonus hunters have to use some common sense when doing their thing - taking a big bonus and only playing those nice steam moves = a red light EVERY time.
Hell, even top class books like theGreek get upset when you catch that +5 that just moved to +4 -110 at Pinny.Comment -

#67No iam not ignorant, i just know that steam hunters can hurt every book.
I respect that, when i do it i don´t take big bonuses or always hit them for the max. amount.
Iam not sorry for guys who cannot use that common sense, and show just a little respect for books that try to offer things like reduced juice or bonuses.
What´s the big deal? They took away a bonus, he didn´t earn it if he only hit the moving lines.
You earn a bonus by giving them HONEST action, wake the **** up...Comment -

they had no problem with his steam plays when he was losing them!Comment
