Not confident in this at all, although it's not like I don't lose most of the bets I do like a lot.
I always go bigger on the second leg of the Liga MX final to make it slightly more interesting, but this is such a tough one to call. I wouldn't be surprised if Sambueza and Peralta suddenly show up and net a pair, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's just a dull, scoreless draw. It's all about the action for me at this point ... Zizer, Tigres started in decent fashion, but they made a bad pass in space near the back of the D that led to America's first goal. They could barely maintain possession of the ball for more than a few seconds after that, but they managed to hang in there at 1-0 until early in the second half. They pretty much melted down and folded when the second goal hit, even though they were only down 2-1 on aggregate, and the reds began to flow. The first one was shown to a guy who was on the pitch for about 70 seconds.
Things continued to spiral out of control from there, but that stadium is among the toughest places to play in the world when it's packed and rocking like it was after the second goal. I knew there was a chance America could pounce on a mistake, get an early goal, get the crowd going and finally hit the level they were at early in the regular season. America had been so dull and disappointing for the last few weeks, their coach is leaving, Layun seems ready to bail, and Sambueza was not 100 percent ... With all that said, I made an awful bet. Wouldn't be the first time.
