#1 - Nobody has a clue was a "day, week, or year" really meant then. Accounting for the diffenrence of 24 hour days is impossible.
#2 - When God made Adam and Eve there wasn't any sin in the world. Therefore, lust was unconcievable.

Yes, I believe he admits to both Hard drug and alcohol abuse. He has been locked up more than once. There have been abuse allegations made by several women. there have been allegations that he molested his own daughters, the list goes on, so yes I guess I am implying that he is proof that there is a deeper need than just money, women, etc.

And don't give me no bullshit how "days" are actually just "stages" and not literally days, as you can't just selectively take out a word here and a paragraph there and (miss)interpret it as it best suits your personal foul interests... The Bible is quite clear on what it meant by seven days:
"Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour and do all thy work. But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God. In it thou shalt not do any work, neither thou nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy maidservant nor thy cattle nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea and all that in them is and rested the seventh day; wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it." Exodus 20:8-11
The reference could not be any clearer. So yeah, according to the Bible, Earth is indeed no more than 6000 years old
What say thee?
and I ask you again, exactly where does it say Adam lived 6000 years ago ???

First off.. I'm not into comic books. I'm glad that you made the assumption though. I've never owned a comic book in my life and I probably never will. Nobody has ever seen me read a comic book and it's likely that nobody will ever see me read a comic book. But in your mind... I probably read them 6 to 10 hours a day. Reality is not important to you... what you WANT to believe is important... at least to you and other believers. If it works for you... I'm glad. For me, I'd rather know the truth. It doesn't offend me at all when someone says they believe in God. However, it disturbs me that people believe such nonsense without a shred of evidence... especially when they say that others are doomed for Hell if they don't share their beliefs. I would be equally disturbed if you thought the earth was flat. There's probably a 50/50 chance that Pronk thinks the earth is flat.

Look at the religious people in this thread patting each other in the back every time they say something the other agrees with.
Some idiot up there is saying that God has been around forever blah blah blah infinity this and infinity that. You sound stupid.
The universe somehow needs a creator yet God can exist without any explanation? God doesn't need a creator but the universe does?
You need a big daddy to believe in and that's fine but just admit it. Stop patting yourselves on the back every time someone posts a bible verse.

No religions here vodka because
"I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; He descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, I believe in the holy apostolic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting."

There is plenty of evidence, you just refuse to see it.
Your first two sentences pretty much say that it doesnt offend you at all, however it disturbs you. Ok, thats your problem if what someone else believes disturbs you.
Not one person in this thread said you are doomed to hell. In fact, you are the one who said that. In fact, ALL the name calling has been done by your side.
No I dont think Earth is flat. That was what science believed. If we were living during those times, I can guarantee you that you would believe it and you would be calling anyone who dared doubt it an idiot.

Right of course islam is a crazy religion that makes no sense. Christianity on the other hand makes perfect sense and is completely believable. A guy who was born from a virgin, dies and then magically comes back to life. Oh yeah, good one pal.

Check the correlation between the consecutive passages I posted and the context in which it was used... It says to rest on the seventh day because so did God after creating Earth and everything on it in 6 days. Unless it means you should rest for like a few hundred million years? Check mate.
And yes, we know what a day, week or year meant "then"... it's Hebrew

Sorry, but you have to do some math as the Bible does not say it directly.
It lists the entire genealogy from Adam to Jesus, so if you take the age that the Bible says Adam lived to, then add up all the the subsequent life spans in the genealogies up to the time of Christ, and finally add 2000 and a change more years to account for the time after Christ aka up to the present day, and the total should come to approximately 6000 years give or take.
Looking forward to seeing how you are going to try to negate and dismiss this one...
Prof. Pronk is welcome to give it a try too

No Sir, you are free to believe in a higher power or whatever... we are just saying that the way the Bible describes it and the history of Earth and all living beings is a good fairytale, but that's also about all it is.

Exactly how I feel. And it's the ignorance of these people when presented with pure facts, evidence and even obvious things that they can easily verify on their own if they choose to that I find hell of a disturbing... it's like even if they can see something with their own eyes, as long as the Bible claims otherwise, they will chose to believe the Bible over their own eyes and mind. They are programmed like robots and mindlessly follow the herd like a flock of sheep...
...all the way to the slaughterhouse.

These guys have gambled their souls that they are right that their great great (5000X) grandfather was a fish or a frog or whatever, so they have to defend their position hard, no matter how wrong it is.
So how exactly should we interpret this quote by you a few pages back? What is going to happen to our souls based on your belief and according to the Bible?
As far as I understand, us non-believers are considered sinners and are already under the judgment of God because our sins have not been covered by the blood and torment of Christ (unless we convert before we die - no thank you). "For the wages of sin is death" - the second (spiritual) death, eternal damnation and everlasting perdition. If I recall correctly, our souls will be united with our earthly bodies and sent to the lakes of fire...

I mustn't be the only one who sees the inherent hypocrisy here?

I couldn't have said it better myself. And this is what disturbs me the most. It's scary really... if the Bible told them to fly a plane into a building... many of them would be asking "When does my flight leave?"
