Oh yeah! Back in early April, Wallace was talking about RPM's money troubles. He said this:

No one likes talking about money — especially when there’s not enough of it to go around.

So give Bubba Wallace a heck of a lot of credit for doing so.

Two days before the most recent NASCAR Cup Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway, Wallace met with reporters to discuss the state of his season.

And he let everything out in the open.

“We are kind of behind,” he said. “I think the biggest thing is dollar signs and over the years we have kind of tip-toed around that, but that’s enough of that. We are kind of behind on money.”

even now i dont go to the races i still know people close with it, i had a great friend back in the 70;s that was the left tire person with the wood brothers and he work full time at a lincoln mercury dealership, i got a call one night telling me that he put a double barrel shotgun to his head and pull both triggers, he was the guy that help me set up my pantera, the last one built for the us with the 351 clev in the back.but i know 2 guys that use to work in the pit for petty, hell i see petty and kyle all the time here.....

From NASCAR: "The FBI has completed its investigation at Talladega Superspeedway and determined that Bubba Wallace was not the target of a hate crime. The FBI report concludes, and photographic evidence confirms, that the garage door pull rope fashioned like a noose had been positioned there since as early as last fall. This was obviously well before the 43 team’s arrival and garage assignment."
From the FBI: "On Monday, fifteen FBI special agents conducted numerous interviews regarding the situation at Talladega Superspeedway. After a thorough review of the facts and evidence surrounding this event, we have concluded that no federal crime was committed. The FBI learned that garage number 4, where the noose was found, was assigned to Bubba Wallace last week. The investigation also revealed evidence, including authentic video confirmed by NASCAR, that the noose found in garage number 4 was in that garage as early as October 2019. Although the noose is now known to have been in garage number 4 in 2019, nobody could have known Mr. Wallace would be assigned to garage number 4 last week."
Wallace on Wednesday's episode of the "Dan Patrick Show" said an African-American crew member on his No. 43 team was the one who discovered the noose. Soon after, the crew member reported the noose to crew chief Jerry Baxter, who informed NASCAR.

Didn’t Bubba say on CNN that he didn’t agree with the FBI conclusion?

Sounds like Bubba made me more out of this issue than anyone.

I agree at the beginning it didn’t sound like a Smollet move, but now it kind of does as he runs with the narrative.

Such a strange occurrence here that went sideways quick.
