There are mass shootings at schools, night clubs, concerts, outdoor festivals, terrorists blowing up buildings, all the time. Not sure I have ever read of an entire school being shot up in Costa Rica. The US has a much higher rate of gun violence then Costa Rica. What may shock you the most is the US has a higher Kidnapping rate then Costa Rica as well. Speaking of facts, did you know that on average, 95% of the homicides in Mexico go unsolved? Granted the US has a lot of crime and murder, but at least there are investigations when these things happen unlike in 3rd world countries where they just don't give a shit. Costa Rica had it's highest murder rate in history last year which is 2x that of the US.

We are also talking about a very small country of 4 million people compared to one that has 330 million.

To be fair, I didn't believe this thread originally. Afterall, there was no SBR verification of the kidnapping at the time and 5D was denying it ever took place (see post #47). So what you and other Mods deemed disrespectful could just be posters sarcastically responding to a perceived hoax thread. Surely no one, myself included, wants any harm to come to 5D Tony.

But from our side we've seen a select group of posters continue to post things that we're just not going to allow in any discussion about Tony at this point and that was even after both 5Dimes statement and SBR's. Even worse, some people seem to get their rocks off by posting repeatedly in several threads the same thing in multiple posts and that's going to get people turfed from here. I was just trying to give a heads up because several have already been put on either temporary or permanent bans because they've been warned and still want to attempt to get that 2 seconds of e-glory if anyone even sees it before the post is deleted. Pro or non Pro, doesn't matter how long someone has been here or what their interactions may have been with Tony... just thought I'd give the heads up before guys keep crying they got banned because they ignored my first warning in here

I completely understand, especially after SBR verified the story as actually credible. However, early on in the thread, prior to any corroboration whatsoever, I posted something to the effect that I hoped the alleged kidnappers were "bitcoin exclusive". This seemingly innocent jest in a perceived hoax thread earned me a 1-day ban from quick-draw Drew, without any opportunity to explain. Now I could care less about the 24 hour timeout I was given, but I did want the chance to state my side. I have a great relationship with 5D that goes back about two decades, and would never wish harm on Tony--or anyone else facing a life or death situation. I also pray for his safe return.

Nope. States with middling gun murder rates are New Jersey, Wisconsin, New Mexico, Ohio, at just under 3 per 100k population:
