I want proof that the pics really is Mathy.
Mathy, post a pic with "suck my dik Avenger" written on a piece of paper.
If not, you're full of shit and that clown in the pic is not Mathy.
I didn't read the thread, but I can tell you from personal experience that sportsbetting for a living is no way to live. I only do it cuz BF has a full-time job and I have a very generous CC limit and I HAD a great, white-collar job and I can't see myself working at Pizza Hut again.
You'll only make 10% of your bankroll in a month and that's during a good month. You better have another source of income for the hard months. So, if you have 10,000, you'll only make $1000 a month.
No health insurance, no savings... just living from hand-to-mouth.
So.. you say... up the ante and bet bigger... then you better be prepared TO LOSE BIGGER. If you got excess income, go for it. But I don't. I've had months where I've won close to $2000, only to be -1000 the next month.
Sure, I survive, but if you're the sole breadwinner, I can't imagine the stress and toil your daily life would take on your body. Not to mention your family... sportsbetting is not a sure thing,, it's a brutal grind, almost a war between you and the bookies. there's many times I bet $300 and expect to make a net of $50, but I do it, because I NEED A PROFIT. That's the big diff between when I was a rec bettor and now that I live off my winnings. I take the guaranteed $$$. It's not about the high you get from the winnings.
Anyways, I'm off my soapbox. Mathy, if you're making 6 figures and living the good life from sportsbetting, good for you. But I doubt it.Comment -

#598I still love these "My 9-5 monkey job is superior because I get health benefits" arguments as if they mean anything. Using fear to justify lifestyle, and not even realizing it. Pro-gamblers, online traders, entrepreneurs etc usually have health insurance too, difference is they don't have to cross their fingers hoping that their employer/pimp doesn't take it away or reduce it. Keep praying that people more successful than you are will always be around to take care of you. The recession taught us that this is far from a guarantee.
In the wild, most of you would be eaten within a week. Start acting more like a lion, and less like a giant panda.Comment -

#602I'll expand, it is bnecause you bust your butt and don't make alot that the following need to be looked at..don't attend any cereony that will require you to spend alot of money unless you must..funerals,weddings. Do not spend alot on clothes and holiday shopping. Do not go to sporting events..like in NY the yanks charge 40 to park your car..fluck that. Of course the most overrated experience..cause it isn't worth the money is vacations. Boggles my mind how 2 people can go away for 5-7 days and spend 3 grand plus..wow. So learn to not worry what people will think of you and watch how you spend your money. My car cost me 2 grand..I have a 9yr old TV..I dont go to sporting events and hope they all strike and go out of business....yanks etc..could care less.Comment -

#606I work 8-5, but I work for a Telecommunications company, so get to work from home. It's pretty legit.
I wake up at 755, roll out of bed, turn on my cpu, log onto the network, grab some Orange Juice, English Muffin, Energy Drink, Shower, Check out lines for the day, work, etc.
Yep, I've got it made. Now, if only my gambling could improve...Comment -

the problem with doing this is there will come a time in all professional gamblers lives where they will go broke and anyone that sais other wise has never done it... I havnt worked in over a year now using a combination of poker and sports to suppliment income... poker is far more profitable then sports betting but as years pass what skills are there to fall back on when being outta the job market for so long.. I say theres no going back to a 9-5 once u cross that line of gambling for a living for some its a curse cause if u ever have to go back you wolnt be able to adapt to making in a week what u can make in a good night..Comment -

#608Hurling an array of vituperative comments and queries around here seems to arouse a few of you. I work 8:00- 2:00 doing something that is great fun for me and a benefit to my neighborhood. I have more than I want or need- I enjoy supplementing my income through sports investing and getting the blood pumping through serotonin engorged brain synapses a bit. However my limbs would become lethargic and my brain would stagnate if I were to do nothing other than wager all day and wear absurd hats.

I respect 9-5 workers...................
However, life is to short to work a 9-5 job if one is paid less than 12.34 an hour...................................E VERYONE on this forum should be self-employed or making a very good living.
Most everyone here is of high intelligence and has a strong work ethic.

#610Haha, this is pretty dead-on. Modern day prison working "9-5" even though the 8 hour work-day rarely exists anymore. Its now 9, because, ya know, you need to take a lunch. Most of us get to do unrewarding things or a job we have to do just to make money. Not born into wealth, nor inheritance. The same thing day in and day out with little time to enjoy the night. Then you get a 2 day weekend. Which is really 1.5 days as you anticipate Monday. Then it begins all over again. Best movie to reflect this is Groundhog Day.
Then you have the boss who does jack shit and just says thanks instead of giving you a raise or review your procedures because you missed on thing out of 1000 perfects. Then you question why management is so cluster-****** and how this company runs...blah blah blah.
I agree. Gamble, play the stock market, become an entrepreneur. Much more reward doing what you love. I can't tell you how shitty it is to come home from 11-8. Get lost in the fantasy world of betting. Either have a good week or night and then have it shattered as the last game ends and its either watch some tv or go to bed and brace yourself for the sludge of work...again and again and again.Comment -

#621You wake up every morning, get dressed up, drive to work.
You get out of your car, and as you slam the door shut you realize this is your 100342th day at work doing the same thing over and over. Each step towards the building makes you sick to your stomach. You're in the elevator dreading the moment it reaches your floor.
Then you get out, and have to put the stupid fake smile on your face and say hello to everyone on your way to your cubicle or work station. You boot up your computer and your email is already full of
"Can you do this for me before noon? Thanks."
"Please be advised that today is <insert stupid="" fake="" day="" like="" 'aids="" awareness="" day'="">, and so at 2pm everyone must come down to the lobby for a quick info session followed by tea and stale cookies"
"Hi, I glanced over that report you submitted. Even though I didn't read much, I think you should re-do it. Thanks, management."
You count the minutes until it is quitting time only to go home and get a bunch of bills in the mail. You are going nowhere and have no hope unless you hit the jackpot.
That is why you should gamble.
