This is why I think its very hard to carry a weapon in public because you will have to react to the situation very quickly and most people are not ready to do that. At the time of the shooting no one knows what the victim did or if he had a weapon on him, if you approached two cops with your hand on your pistol they will most likely draw on you and probably shoot you if you don't comply.

you're right there, guy in the video didn't move tho nor was any reason to.

and cops are people too and they carry in public, they have far more training and kill far more people who did not deserve to die. The rock throwing hispanic, the white homeless guy in arizona, tamir, waco, ruby ridge and as far as I could go back just as many examples will be added in the coming years. Police, ATF, DEA, ICE and the whole DHS umbrella is a joke.

Did anyone face accountability for any of that? I guess tamir case still to be decided but no reason to think justice will be served.

no one should be surprised by this bullshit..... this is standard cop operating procedure.....

gun someone down, plant evidence on them.... and you're f'n surprised?

if someone hadn't happened to have their camera rollin' this woulda been nothing but another crime stat proving how "bad" the black community is....

i'd put the sorry fcking cop to death.... he deserves it

Mike Brown would have kept walking and this guy would have probably been given either a ticket for the little violation or brought in to pay up for his missed child support (if reports are true he was behind) but either way, he lives.
BBC news did an investigation after the Mike Brown shootings in Missouri, they found that there are so many counties and cities there and all of them need financial help so they issue a lot of traffic tickets and mostly it goes to the African American drivers.

What they found out is something I, as a middle class american, found very interesting... many of the blacks who are issued tickets are very poor, so if there is a traffic ticket that involved a court date they are taking a day off from work, many of them work part time in places without paid leave so they are giving up a days wages + the ticket.

So what someone with some income and a stable job considers a day in court is not the same for some of our low income neighbors. That $150 we sometimes spend on a night out is a significant part of this family's monthly income (imagine if you only earned 600 a month). But when they dont show up in court they get another summon and it can lead to an arrest warrant. The next time they are stopped the system is showing an arrest warrant and it can lead to situation like this where a struggle can happen during an arrest.

two years, thanks to video, she is now free and cop in jail. The judge? o just being a judge still and trusting those crooks with badges.

Yeah, your day in court.. good luck with that.

or how about my last 2 speeding tickets in which both times the cop lied on the speed, I'm sure without audio/video the judge would have just took my word for it huh?

Very, very important to teach your children not to trust people especially police.

lol what does it matter? Main lesson to take away is people are untrustworthy especially government so when you're in your car you better have audio/video because your day in court won't mean shit without it.

I won, he lost. End of story. All the DHS guys spying on me now, take note.

someone's been smoking a tad to much rock/meth..... biggest sign is "I'm being watched by the cops."

a friend once had a meth smoking relative out in his front yard, climbing up a tree, to set some sort of "trip wire" to warn him when and if the cops had arrived......

friend had to yell, "get the fuk outta that tree (neighbors had started to come out to see why this methhead was way up in this fckin' tree), or the cops will be here soon!!!!!"

                  paranoia......

you're a clown. I can find countless post of yours, I saw one other day that almost made me reply but wasn't worth the time.

plus, DHS are not the cops genius. The cops don't come to your door when you order ammo, DHS does.

Well you won...your day in court...so you made my point. Had you called the cop a pusssay ass nuke and threw a blow at him and ran..you might not have enjoyed your future as much.

But reason I asked the speed difference is I've always laughed when people are tickets for 43 in a 35....then they argue that they were merely going 40...judge asked what the posted limit was and the driver says '35 your honor' and the judge says exactly....speeding is speeding.

exactly why we would never share a beer you scumbag, liberal.

and you didn't prove my point, your day in court is worthless without evidence.

PS to anyone who cares about their rights anymore? if a cop tries to do this to you, don't sign the ticket. It is that simple but you better have video/audio too. Itchypickly just gave you an example of the tyranny he finds funny. Newflash; judge is not on your side. The all have a number that needs to be meet for the city and you're nothing but a mark.

(The receipt was at home.) I didn't give the cop a hard time, posted bail and was released. The court gave me my money back and an apology. On with life as you said.
Yep. I've been to court to fight one ticket years ago, the cop didn't even show up and ticket was dismissed because earlier date had been rescheduled as well so judge just tossed it. Another recent time, one of the drivers who works for us was ticketed and we went to argue it...spent 3/4 of the day in court but got it settled without fine and no CDL harm but the cop was a real assshole so glad he didn't get smart with him, just took the ticket and continued on. It's in a school area so I know the cops who work there in the mornings at drop off with my kid so soon as I heard who had stopped him I hoped he had acted accordingly...and life moves on with no loss of license or worse. Just have to be smart and not hotheaded in life.

sick of cops; two days ago a jaywalking cop was crossing the street behind my old digs, the Bayou Lofts, to get to the Spaghetti Warehouse in downtown h-town, and was almost daring the legal traffic to hit him (he was standing on the yellow line in the middle of a two way traffic street).

As I approached him, we made direct eye contact...... and although he was wearing a pair of those stupid fckin' oakley shades (you know with the straight legs that don't curve, but rather embed into the fat on the side of a shaved cop's head), I could tell he was lookin' right at me and wanting, almost demanding with his posture, that I stop and let his jaywalkin' ass cross the street in front of me.

I kept driving toward him, not breaking, and rolled my window down as I got up to him, and said, "FUK OFF, COP, OBEY THE FUKIN' LAW AND QUIT FCKIN' JAYWALKIN".......

i pretty much hit the gas at that point and headed toward the rt hand turn that gets onto I-45 North, and noticed this prick was running after me..... I slowed up a bit to give him hope that he might catch me, then as he got close to my bumper, yelled out the window "I SAID FCK OFF, COP!!!!" and hit the gas again.....

by now, i'm about to turn onto the onto the road leading to the freeway on ramp, and this fat shaved head fck, huffin and a puffin, is still giving chase hopin' I'll catch the red light at the turn, which I do.... I let him huff and puff right up to my bumper again, then yell out, "FUUKKKKK YYYOOOUUUUUU, COP!!!!", and hit the gas and run the red (there's a "no rt turn on red" sign there), turn on to the frontage road and nail it......

he runs into the middle of the frontage road, bends over, hands on knees for a second -- clearly straining from as much physical exertion as the lazy fck has had in over six months, and as he's gettin smaller in my rearview, I see him raise up and draw his f'n peashooter...... I speed up even more, lean over into the passenger's seat to duck my head and hauled ass even faster.... don't know if he shot or not.......

In the words of Ice Cube, all in all it was a good day

A big thumbs up and needs to be given to the family and their attorney (Chris Stewart) on this case though. Saw him do an interview and he was immediately asked the typical racial questions and attaching this to Ferguson and Garner and he stopped the questions in their tracks and said point blank....this is about a man's life and a family's loss and they refuse to turn this into a circus and allow anyone to profit from it on the outside. Pundit fired back with 'but civil rights leaders and protestors are already wanting to come help' and the attorney said he doesn't care who it is, NOBODY is to campaign on the family's behalf unless they go through him or co counsel and he was clear it will not become a circus and chance for anyone to push an agenda or use it to further a cause and get publicity...they asked again about Sharpton and other leaders and Stewart said 'anyone...just letting this be known, do not come down here and inject yourselves, we have it under control' That is how these things need to be handled every time.

my bad, you're not a scumbag, liberal then. You're the exact the opposite and I'll keep my foot in my mouth. I've been thinking you were an ex-cop for months now, don't know where I got that mixed up, so when you said you found humor in the speeding ticket thing I imagined you were the one doing it for years but nevermind, I apologize!
                                            No worries.

The cop should be charged with 2nd degree murder but jeezus, if you have felony warrants why are you running away from the cops? Your chances of getting shot go WAY up.

Stewart's underlying motive here is he doesn't want some "don king" like race baiter telling the family to switch lawyers to "the best fckn' lawyer for this case" (ie, someone who's gonna illegally split the fee with said baiter) -- he's telling them to stay away to protect his millions he stands to make on the case...........

I speed up even more, lean over into the passenger's seat to duck my head and hauled ass even faster.... don't know if he shot or not.......

haha..... left one, and more, detail outta the story: I was in a client's enterprise rental car.... he drove us down, had a hearing in another court (I wasn't repping him on that, it was post plea deal on a dwi case, coupled with a "review" of an alleged probation violation on a possesssion of blow case I also pled out for him in felony court), while I had a big custody case/adoption battle in the juvie courthouse. As it's a long drive down in drivetime from nw harris county, we decided to trek down together.

He, unfortunately, should have had me at his hearing, as they obviously sand-bagged him and hit him with three violations of his community supervision, and threw him into county jail until friday morning, when he'll have a hearing on what they do to him next. Some of that explains why I wasn't exactly in a cop loving mode when fatboy was jaywalking.....

Nevertheless, I had to leave him and drive back to my office solo. it wasn't my ride, nor his, nor even rented in his name.... Some hot chick rented it for him under her card -- something to do with that dwi plea made it to where he wasn't eligible to rent from enterprise.... So I'm fortunately three or four Kevin Bacon game degrees away from ever having to answer for running that red.........

plus, in all the excitement, and as quickly as I turned that corner, I don't know that fatboy was capable of getting the vehicle's plate no...... he was too busy bending over sucking wind at the time he realized he probably needed to try and read it.........

Par for the course....thankful it was filmed....I've ran worse than he did directly from a traffic stop....cop behind me was black...guess I feel lucky bc he was fat and his only chance was the gun lmao...it seems this guy could have chased him down, used a taser...call backup....100's of different things....he will have a long time to think about this as I almost gurantee he gets life---a cop in prison for life...Guy might as well do everyone a favor and kill himself...

i left out the line in my original story, before his second approach after givin' him the "stop and go" psyche, when I yelled "YOU STILL RUNNING AFTER ME..... I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO penetrate OFF!!!!!!!"

At the time of the shooting no one knows what the victim did or if he had a weapon on him, if you approached two cops with your hand on your pistol they will most likely draw on you and probably shoot you if you don't comply.
