Anyone following this story. Spent a couple of hours on it tonight. Reminds me of the days of Biteme at the cash tables.

I probably lost a ton to him...but miss him. I don’t think we ever got confirmation of his health status, but I have a feeling it’s not good.Comment -

Mainly watched hands where he got away with some crazy stuff (by bluffing). Sure you may be able to do that a few times, but he does it on a regular basis.
Then there are the hands where he folds early on, when you should never fold in that situation. The AK fold vs 88 on a A,8,X was ridiculous.Comment -

#9Haven’t got to the interview yet....just heard he was pretty much denying everything and he’s lawyered up.

#10I was talking in general, dont know who Biteme is.
They think, he was in contact with some supervisor, who told him what opponents hold, because when this guy was on vacation he played far less and lost.
The casino got complaints and made a investigation, but the guy who they think was working with him, was a key part of the team that was investigating…Comment -

#11he had his left hand with his phone under the table for most of the sessions he was accused of cheating and he would look down at his crotch all the time. there was also a bulge noticed in the side of his hat that was gone in post game interviews and ppl have speculated it was bone conduction headphones.
i think the biggest evidence is that supposedly the commentary is done live and in one of the questionable hands where both had missed straight draws on the river he bet out bluffed 800 got raised 2400 and it was like around a 7k pot and the other guy only had like 700 left and he reraised bluffed all in to make the guy fold is last 700 with 8 high. then the booth announced during the hand that the cards were wrong and changed both of his cards to 9s8s from 8x6x so he had the nuts and also a flush draw on the flop. if the commentary was live then how would they know the chips in the cards were read wrong without postle telling them what he had?
another time a producer on the live stream told everyone his cards were wrong when he had 88 vs 1010 on a board of 10998x and just check called the river. said he had 87. this was at least a while later and the producer said he asked postle though.
another odd hand is when he had 54 off and two ppl had ak and raised then reraised preflop he called and then the original raiser went all in and moneymaker went all in and he called all in.Comment -

#13I've watched this game many times on Twitch. I never saw him book a losing night. Seemed to always get paid off when he had a hand and his bluff timing was just too perfect. The thin value bets he would always get away with were an indication that was something wasn't right as well.Comment -

#15Dude was making $850 an hour at 1/3 and 2/5 over 60 different streams. His aggression on rivers when his opponents couldn't call was correct 99 out of 100 times. Surprised this wasn't caught sooner but I guess the people who watched the streams don't understand poker at all.Comment -

#16Am kind of curious also about the people who were playing with him. Surely they had to realize that he was completely killing the game, whether legitimately or not. And generally if you're up against someone who is clearly "better" than you, the logical thing to do is to not play with that person anymore - game selection 101!
Of course some might say that you should try to improve, learn from a better player or adapt to be able to beat him etc. etc. But if I was in a game where a particular player was killing me day after day, I doubt I would stick around for long!Comment -

He could have gotten away with this for his entire life if he didn't make it so obvious. Don't VPIP so high and fold your garbage hands like 95o and it wouldn't be so obvious. When you win every single pot you're involved in and never pay off opponents it's surprising that he wasn't caught even sooner. Dude was straight god mode and was folding TPTK in 3 way pots for $200 and check calling 3rd nuts in small pots.
His mannerisms were also a major indicator, laughing at his opponents, throwing his hands up before opponents tabled their cards when they made hero calls. Why would he do that if he didn't know the cards? They could have called the nuts, but he knew they called super light and that's why he reacted even before cards were tabled.
He almost always sat in the same seat, so he could have had his phone or device plugged into a USB which is tapped into the RFID. He had some involvement with the set up of Stones Live and was serving some type of adviser role for them at some point.
I hope he gets prison time but my guess is he will have house arrest and the GC will restrict him from ever being allowed in a casino again.Comment -

#18Watching Joey go over all the hands he's played is some of the most entertaining poker I've ever watched.
Here's a good, simple example that looks pretty blatant.
The pot is around $3,500 and Mike has AK on a 2K5J6 board.
He decides to shove for $7,500 effective....
Makes absolutely no sense unless you know the other guy also has AK or maybe KJ. Sets are all very possible as it played.
He makes plays like this all the time, and there is not a single instance of him ever being wrong. They've gone through about 200 of the 500+ hours of footage total.

#30Yes, he is. He's just trying to deflect people not in the know into thinking it's other(s) by accusing everyone else. Unfortunately for him, it's too well known to the everyday players here that he's the plant so his lame deflection tactics aren't really fooling anyone.Comment -
