To be a good gambler, I'll expand what is needed to the Big Four: bankroll, knowledge, money management, & discipline. Since you ignorantly think bankroll is not necessary in poker, then I suggest you always buy in short & get back to me. Similarly, quality of poker play is determined by several well-understood factors, bankroll at any given time not being one of them...but it's a poker thing, wouldn't expect you to understand.
