I have to wait and see on the day if Plaza can give me an early checkin... if so, I should be bright eyed, bushy tailed and ready for something Sunday afternoon/evening. But if I can't get the early checkin, will probably find Reigle and get plastered somewhere during day and then have a big sleep Sunday night ready for the week.

Oneunder has about 3 million worth of comps all over Vegas in his pocket so prefers to eat free as much as possible, so maybe have a yak with him about a restaurant for Sunday night too?

How dare you suggest that I day drink. I'm staying at the hard rock day 1, might be a good place to booze by the pool.

So poker guys, what room is the most cozy with the most generous supply of good booze?

ex/harrah's poker room in AC for both cozy and booze

i'd drink goose or makers all day there
then at bally's the best i can get is a flimsy plastic cup draft

i don't like the football field rooms like the borgata

Not sure about the drinks situation but Oneunder took me to the MGM poker room last time. Was kind of a big open room but I liked the vibe and bright atmosphere. Sportsbook screens right next to it too.

Was seated at a table with a couple of maniacs first time too and almost doubled buyin first hand... so that probably helped my impression too

Bellagio was more enclosed and a bit dimly lit.

If anyone is doing the Ferris wheel, roller coaster, etc., check out the Las Vegas Power Pass. If anyone wants a pass let me know. I can get them through my work for $56. It saves a ton of $ if you plan on doing multiple activities. The pass is only good for 24 hours once activated so you'd have to plan on doing the activities in the same day. I'm planning on doing the pass activities on Tuesday. Figured the week day would be less crowded.

I'd be down for Palace Station steakhouse or buffet (since it's cheap) on Sunday. I have to stop over there anyways to see a friend who works there.

I'll also offer a suggestion. Binion's hamburger shop is good. Old-fashioned burgers, good quality.

Hamburgers for a bunch of hamburgers. Should be a good fit.

...I know people will crap on Limit Hold-em as a Tournament format. I used to play a lot of Limit. I would think about playing it. $1500 buy-in isn't bad. If u run deep, can last 3 days.
