great John thats what 80% of the players here want, plus a little bigger consolation prize for the 2nd and 3rd placed ,maybe a little sportscash or something would make this a perfect event

We have mixed it up and but this one happens to be a very expensive 1st prize event. We would love to give away a lot more. But in this season between hoops and football the sponsors are not exactly flooding the SBR sales hotline looking for gigs to support or DDOSing our email asking about our poker promotion. In fact this is the first poker event entirely funded by SBR.(kind of hope its the last :-/)

Maybe the 2nd prize gets to fly in Vegas for free with the winner and can be his cheering buddy. It will be so lonely if we send one guy there to play and no one to cheer for him.

Im a new member, and am totally looking forward to this. I've searched for places to play a satellite to the WSOP and very few come up now. Of course this is all because of the Online poker FBI investigations going on. It's gonna be interesting to see how much smaller the Main event will be this year.

might be too late but what about contest where top 10 get paid entries to different events on the world series of poker which are not main event.(total might be about $10000) Seems like all hopes fall on one sbr poker player on the current format. 10 chances might be better than 1 and considering the large pool in the main event an even harder event.

We considered the less expensive undercard tourneys. We may go with your idea next year we do agree with your points. Imagine telling your grandkids you played in the WSOP...now imagine explaining you played in one of the less expensive undercard games leading up to the WSOP. just doesnt feel the same...

The WSOP Main Event is the memory of a lifetime. Being able to sit and play the best poker players from all over the world with a chance to win some of the $55 million up for grabs is something we really wanted to send a poster to do.

For one I think if you win every day, you should get to keep the entry. That way the field would consist of maybe 7-10 players . And all those players would just basically be guys like 4uk4life & Wulfman who manage to suck me out & luck box into the field

Also what if your a SBR Pro, win it all, and don't want to play at the Main Event? Switch prizes with second place? I know you could just not play, but some of us are poker degens who basically can't not play

even with a GA Crew standing by trying to force us to drop the keyboard.

And one finally stupid question directly for you Lou. Have you considered a cheaper alternative? Maybe providing SBR gear to players who are going to go anyways to get you out there. Might also suggest having SBR poker pro's (Non Paid) as I've suggested before LOL. 3 more days Boys & I'm pro.. No more 10 point buy ins.. Get ready
