What a drop-off from 1st to 2nd place, $10k buy-in for 1st place then goes to 1500 SBR points for 2nd which equals ~ $70. How sick would it be to get 2nd place on a sick beat or something and know a WSOP entry was within your grasp but slipped away?

2nd place should at least get 10K SBR points and a lifetime SBR Pro membership or something..........anybody else feel this way?

If my math is correct, there should be around 570 people in the grand finale, that is alot of people to beat out.

it is a lot of ppl but in all reality it beats having to go thru like 10 rounds on jokerstars or tilt with like 10,000 people. so 1 round of 60 and being able to get 1-3rd and then a final round of 570 is really not that bad.

Yeah, it's way better then what the other poker sites are doing. Just pray you don't get 2nd place, you win essentially peanuts to what 1st gets. I hope whoever wins the $10k buy-in will at least be a long time SBR forum member who deserves it, but I'm betting tons of new non-pro people will start registering for the satellite tourneys and if they place in the top 3 to get entry, they will apply to become SBR Pro of course to get entry to the finale. It will be interesting to see how many new posters this thing spawns, there will probably be a good amount of new SBR pro's in the coming 2 months.

I hope to see all the regular poker players in the daily tourneys make it in (including myself ), 570 spots.....that should be most of the people that play SBR poker.

The key to make the finale as time passes, in my mind at least, is to find the tournament times where most of the previous winners are playing in, because they can't gain entry twice. So on the final day of the satellite tournaments, most of the winners will be playing, you probably only have to place in the top 20 in one of the daily tourneys to make it in.

that's not so good ... some of us need a US viisa to get there and the time is short (June 25th - July 7th ... less than 2 weeks) between SBR tournament and WSOP main event ...

let's say that I will win this ... I won't know for sure if I get the viisa or not until a few days before the WSOP tournament ... or I might get the viisa after the WSOP starts ... if I don't get the viisa, the SBR tourney second place winner might also not have the necesary time to get to the WSOP tournament ...

... you should maybe take this in consideration and have the SBR tourney at the end of May, instead of late June ...
