#37Funny that someone who has to depend on a gambling forum to pay his rent supports a party that is anti-sports gambling. They banned wagering on numerous sports in Vegas and snuck through the anti-gambling bill, UIGEA.
If these neo-nazis had their way, all sports betting and forums would be wiped out. But not horse racing or slots because their largest donors are from horse racing and casinos.Comment -

#48It is the GOP that was in there for so long it is very hard to take care of. They did stop the deregulation of the banks that almost caused a depression in case if you forgot. They did a lot for consumers on credit cards which was badly needed. One thing that Obama did was not lie to us about what he was going to do when he got elected and I know we were lied to plenty with Bush in office. We were misled by him saying everything was great and it wasn't good for the middle class at all. In fact they made less then they did 8 years before that. The stock market was lower when Bush left office than when he got in office and that is plain awful. No President in history has ever seen that happen before.
In fact with you comment in 2006 when the Democrats got back in, Bush blocked an awful lot of things for two years so nothing got done. There is so much that the Democrats couldn't get anything done on that all of it couldn't be done. That is how big of a mess our country was in when President Obama got elected into office.
Now I can say that I haven't agreed with President Obama on some issues that made me wonder what is going on here but it is better than what we had with Bush with my income dropping every year in Bush's second term. I have disagreed with some of the health care bill and how the oil spill has handled.Comment -

#50Do the research.
Vote for the best candidate.
IMO the democratic candidate is more often the better choice based on my values and beliefs, but not always.
Every time I start to take a Republican seriously though it seems like that's when they throw out the whole "Jesus doesnt like gay people" argument and then I roll my eyes and go back to the left. Separate yourself from the bible-thumpers and you'll get a lot of people crossing over.Originally posted by Dark HorseIf with religion you mean belief system, your belief system is your religion. #54its too late to fix anything with a vote..
when a minority has a kid with a white, their child is a minority...
minorities will continue to vote for instant gratification which will continue to bury the country..
Left will continue to cater to minorities to stay in control..
No one will ever admit that white republicans are the best at running a civilized society, therefor they will never gain control again..

The left just would have spun it differently.
Whichever President is in office is going to use military means to protect America's interests. And the party in power ALWAYS fears doing nothing more than doing something. And it doesn't matter if it's a "war monger" like Bush, or the godfather of progressivism Woodrow Wilson. JFK/LBJ escalated 'Nam long before Nixon got in there. Yet that's who people want to blame. Truman was President when we got involved in Korea, yet it's seen as Ike's war.
There were Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee who could have, if they wanted to, stood up and discounted everything Bush used as justification for the war. They didn't. Either because they came to the same conclusion Bush did, or they were cowards afraid to speak their minds with conviction. Either way, we went to war as a nation, with bi-partisan support. Only when the going got rough did the Democrats start whining about it. They weren't the party in power. That was their luxury. Remember that.No more of that talk, or I'll put the leeches on you.Comment -

#63Its easy to understand why Brock Landers hates republicans. He is ALWAYS BROKE because he is a degenerate losing gambler and knows the republicans aren't going to support giving him any handouts.
I would very much welcome a return to the first 6 years of the Bush administration as our country was in much better shape then than its in now. Bush inherited a nasty recession due to the internet bubble bursting with Greenspan predicting an all out depression. Instead of sitting back and blaming Clinton for it (the way Obama keeps blaming Bush even after almost 2 full years in office), the Bush team figured out the best course of action, implemented it and our country recovered.
Then we got hit with the 9/11 tragedy which was a huge blow to an already fragile recovering economy. The Bush team, once again, figured out the best course of action, implemented it and our country recovered again.
During the first 6 years under Bush, the unemployment rate never got above 5%, the Dow was sitting around 14,000 and we didn't have a problem in the world other than the sky high deficit (which is now a hell of a lot higher under Obama).
Unfortunately, the voters made a huge mistake in giving back congressional power to the democrats in 2006 as the financial meltdown (caused primarily by the democrats insistence that low income people/designated minorities deserved to own a home even though it was clear they could not possibly afford to do so) never needed to be the major problem that it has turned into.
Even today, the Obama administration's handling of the financial meltdown COULD NOT POSSIBLY BE ANY WORSE. In order for our country to get past this financial mess, banks need to get all of these toxic loans off their books, write them off and move on. Instead of making it easier for the banks to foreclose on the homes of people who refuse to pay their mortgage, Obama and the democrats are making it next to impossible because they believe so strongly in giving deadbeat people as much of a FREE RIDE as possible.
The republicans have been pretty much powerless since 2006 and yet these idiot liberals continue to blame them for our country's woes. The fact of the matter is this:
In 2008, the voters went on an "anything but republican" frenzy and elected what they knew was an extremely weak and inexperienced man in Barack Obama to lead our nation going forward. In addition, they gave the democrats filibuster proof majorities in both houses of congress. Clearly, the voters were outraged.
Fast forward only 2 short years later and now the voters have done a complete 180 degree U-turn and are on an "anything but democrat" frenzy. Liberals are trying to make this election about voting out incumbents but, in truth, the voters only want to vote out DEMOCRATIC INCUMBENTS. The democrats are poised to loss at least 55 seats in the house and some estimates are predicting as much as 70-75 seats.
Those on the extreme left are always going to vote democratic and the same can be said about those on the extreme right voting republican. In order for there to be such a huge shift (from democratic to republican) in such a short period of time, that small group of voters in between are almost all shifting their allegiance from democratic to republican.
Based on this, it should be clear to all but the most bone-headed thick skinned liberals that the democrats have done a HORRIBLE JOB with the power they have had over the past 2 years. Whats happening now is quite similar to what happened to Clinton from 1992-1994. The question that now remains is what will Obama do after tomorrow?
Will he (A) do what Clinton did and move towards the center in order to work with republicans so our country can be put back on track
or (B) Will he continue to move further to the left blaming everybody but himself for all the problems that exist in our country?
The vast majority of Americans (including many conservatives) believe Clinton was a very good president (personal indiscretions aside) because he put his own liberal political beliefs aside and moved towards the center and had a pretty decent working relationship with many republicans in congress. Will Obama do the same? I'm not at all sure as he doesn't have anywhere near the intelligence that President Clinton had.Comment -
