I know there was a previous link, but this one is better.

The body was spotted in the area of Mummy Spring, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Bill Pates said, adding Metro’s search and rescue team is on the scene.

I guess the waiting will be over very soon if this is indeed him as the family has to be notified first.

Sincerely hope it's not him. Always enjoyed reading his Point Blank write-ups. Some of the statements in this thread straight up lack respect; as adults we should know were to draw a line...

Nothing has been posted. Sounds like the body was in a fairly remote area so could take some time getting it down. ID'ing shouldn't take long at all

Given that there is an active search still in progress for Dave and those searching are taking risks to find him, they should know by today whether it is or isn't him. Would be terrible if it was him and someone got hurt tomorrow

                            Worthless link for me.

I try my best not to let third parties push me around and sure as hell don't log into Facegramchat to get a piece of information.

Not now, not ever. I'd rather not know and type this post than waste time logging in to Instabookgramchatspace.

Im gonna go out on a limb and say it's a near certainty it was Daves body that was found. Some people involved with search effort knew the hiker that found the body. There's a reason they're not going back up today. Plus it was the exact spot he was going to.

                                        Ok, so I'll admit.

In instances like this, the communication power of facebutthole or istagasm could be useful.

Hopefully the body is Stu Finer or Jack Price of the industry. One of the scumbags who deserve it.

All - thanks to each of you here at SBR who expressed concern and offered thoughts and prayers.

This past week has been filled with a host of different emotions; uncertainty, fear, love, and ultimately despair. One feeling that remained constant throughout the week was support. Some of the support came from people who knew David for decades, some from those who only knew him as an acquaintance, and some who had never met Dave at all, but still offered help. The outpour of support from the Las Vegas hiking and sports community has been truly remarkable. Words cannot describe how grateful we are for the volunteer hikers, Red Rock Search and Rescue, Metropolitan Police, and everyone who offered support to find David. As we all know, Dave had a particular fondness for Bristlecone Pine Trees and referred to them as his “Old Friends in High Places.” We find comfort in knowing he passed doing what he loved, and is now resting peacefully among his friends.

I think I speak for all SBR in stating that we are very sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace.
