Yeah, most of my alt-stuff is down. My stake in Ether keeps me in the black. I'm seeing stuff that historically never had more than 3 or 4 bad days in a row have 5 and 6 bad days in a row. I wonder this is still part of the "great Korean sell-off" or just a depressed market? At any rate, I'm holding - I'm only 4 days into my no touch/no tweak experiment for a month. Ridin' it out.....

LTC is probably the most transacted coin currently on the market and that's why it has any value at all. It's cheap, fast and easy to send. With bch, lightning network and xrp, Im not sure how much potential ltc has. Im bearish on them in the long term, they might have some short term value as those other 3 really aren't mainstream, yetComment -
I don't think it's going to be one of those like ETH that just keeps climbing, but I don't see it completely crashing either (I predicted it as a stable $150 coin before it went on that run to $350, which may hold true, but at the $200 level). There are groups that will absolutely refuse to support and even try to undermine BCH (they feel it's a ripoff of BTC) and XRP (centralized coin run by the bankers) and LN is still a long way away until widespread adoption which gives LTC an opportunity to be the go-to transaction coin. Agree though on the bearish view of it as an investment.Comment -

I have some POE (small). Got in kinda high compared to what it is now - 12¢. Tech seems OK - I'm not the tech expert, though. Definitely dipping, so a good time to buy if you believe this market will turn around.

I think some of this stagnation is that Binance and Bittrex are still closed to new account registration, and Poloniex while accepting registrations, delays verification for up to several weeks.
I think people already with accounts have invested what they want to invest and all that capital is just getting moved around and gobbled up by fees at this pointComment -

No big deal. Call your bank and tell them to release the funds or you're out of there. BofA and BBVA put fraud alerts on my account when I tried to buy from Bitstamp. One quick call cleared it up. BBVA tried to say that it looked fishy because it came from London. WTF? I go to London all the time and buy stuff from there what the hell are you talking about I told the agent.Comment -

I'd guess if the wrong person in CapOne reviews a payment and sees bitcoin they may suspend it until they check with you its a genuine charge, or maybe even ask you what it is. But's that usually just due to some individual goose that still thinks anyone using bitcoin is a drug dealer or user. And will be over turned as soon as you complain. None of the banks are going to outright ban bitcoin without some sort of law against it first. And CapOne definitely do not just "not send funds and dont tell anyone". Maybe in one guys case. Nothing will ever overtake bitcoin. Ever. It's like asking if something will overtake Apple, or Disney, or Facebook. Sure you have your Samsung that comes along w phones and is unreal internationally, or Pixar, or Instagram. But the founders will never be overtaken. I kind of agree that Bitcoin seems to be dug in well enough that it will probably be the main value store for a long time.
If the lightning network layer actually gives us near free and instant transactions again, as they say it will, then it will be tough for another coin to muscle into that retail micro transaction market and should cement the position I think..Comment
