#213They only offer maximum of $1,000 in an air travel voucher?
Seems awfully low when clearly it's the airlines fault.
What if someone had an important business meeting to get to? You can't just grab the next flight. You'd be late.Seems like every person should receive at least $2,000 in compensation. WTF does United think this is?? 1990?
This crew fukked up big time by letting him on that flight in the first place and United is going to pay a steep price. They just announced that they are reimbursing EVERY passenger on that flight their tickets. They targeted this guy who happens to be Asian, with no real method of choosing who to kick off. This guy just hit the WSOP jackpot. It would have been a lot cheaper offering up some big loot to get someone else to get off that plane. The CEO screwed up by trying to discount the event by labeling this guy as belligerent and disobedient similar to what several people in this forum with their "LOCK HIM UP" chants. These guys must have never attended a crisis avoidance training like this dumb shit CEO. I'll give him 30 days before he's taking an exit package as his ass is kicked to dirt.
Someone has to be totally clueless if they don't believe United will settle this shit with a quickness. United is right now the brunt of every comedian right now. They are already losing market share to their competitors and the stock took a big hit in one day. This might be as worse as BP spilling oil in the gulf. Can you imagine the public backlash if this case ever makes it to a courtroom? This guy is sitting on at least $20 million and some of you are calling him stupid.Last edited by Mac4Lyfe; 04-12-17, 05:19 PM.Comment -

#214It was later uncovered that this so called doctor has a wrap sheet.. Sex crimes and other stuff.. He's no saint himself...
Again you don't get beat up or shot by legal authorities if you only obey their commands.. This man was not obeying commands by legal officials so he got man handled, accident then occurred where he banged his head while resisting...
Not sure he gets paid now that I think about it legally.. I don't feel sympathy for this man either.
You resist authority you get hurt bottom line...
How charming to use the "if you only obey our commands" shit to excuse police brutality. Was this guy ever arrested? When did he become a criminal? He paid for and was given a legitimate seat. Why did they order him off the plane AFTER they let him on? Because he was Asian or maybe they just don't like doctors. You have no sympathy for a guy minding his own damn business and some idiots with a badge selectively want to force him off a plane he's already on? The police basically kidnapped him in the process. He bought a ticket to go from point A to point B, not to be force off a plane without his will. This man was no criminal but United, the PoPo and now you have made him out to be the bad guy. How rich.
This guy is about to blow up like the World Trade. He's about to become a very rich man. Hell, he might end up owning United airlines after this shit. They fukked up really bad and are about to pay a very hefty price for their stupidity/ brutality.Comment -

#215Wow, What does his wrap sheet have to do with him getting his ass kicked while holding a legitimate ticket, peacefully sitting in a plane seat United employees doled out to him??? Amazing. Since he's Asian or if he was black it's okay to bring up totally irrelevant shit to try and discredit him? Funny how NO ONE ever brought up the pure lily white girl who got knocked the fukk out by Joe Mixon after she called him the N word, spit in his face and threw the first punch? Her wrap sheet, arrest record, drug use was more than either guy but not a peep about her being no saint???

Watch the news.. This guy was not complying with authorities on the aircraft.. He could have left the plane peacefully then caused a stink, sue or what ever.. He chose to play hard ball...
In the end this so called doctor will get paid, it was a smart move, but now others will do the same.. It sets a bad example in the future..Comment -

#216His conversation was recorded.. Clearly he said to authorities "this is my seat, I'm not moving, you'll have to drag me out of here"... So they dragged him out of there...

Do you comply with every order by authorities? Do you really think you HAVE to comply? What if an officer pulls you over for speeding and orders you to walk out in traffic on the highway? What if an officer orders you to pull your pants off? An illegal order by a police officer breaking the law is not an order you have to comply with. Would you let an officer knock on your door and come in an search your house without a warrant? Would you leave your house because an officer ordered you to, for no valid reason?
This guy was very smart. Others should follow his lead if the airlines do not follow proper protocols. They have to follow the rules which they clearly did not. United is about to get bent over with no vaseline.Comment -

#218He had every right to tell them that was his seat and that he was not moving. He paid for the seat and was given a boarding pass and a legitimate seat. Once that happens all bets are off, the airlines CANNOT remove you because they want to. They have to follow protocol and the protocol is not to just target Asians or doctors or men or short people, etc. The protocol does not give them, the police proper authority to remove him, which is why those officers are now suspended. They abused their authority. The airlines only recourse was to offer someone an incentive to get off the plane peacefully.

If a cop tells you to get off a plane you should get off a plane.. These weren't cops but they were Airline officials.. Same deal.. Obey or get physically hurt...
If a cop tells you to get out of car, you should get out of your car.. Same shiiit..Last edited by JIBBBY; 04-12-17, 06:57 PM.Comment -

#226heard a funny joke about this incident from a black guy. He was saying how the black officer was listening to his white masters and set blacks back again. I mentioned how if we lived in a rational society that employed intelligent officers the black guy would have boarded the plane, listened to the situation and told United to penetrate off, not his problem or the doctor's and to never call security again unless you need it.
He replied, yeah but smart black guys go into real estate the dumb ones go to airport security lolComment -

#227400% up to a max of $1350. The airline is responsible for the contract of carriage, the difference between boarding and seated is the key and whether they violated that portion in asking him to leave. The security / LE are responsible for how they tried to remove him.Comment -

I still laugh when people say this isn't United's fault? It's the police. Their the one's who did it. Not true. What did United Airlines officials tell the police in order to get them to respond? So, whatever was said... was a blatant lie.
Even if you said... Ok... we just want him off the plane. For what reason? lol

I didn't see teeth on the ground or go flying, I didn't see his supposedly broken nose bleeding.. Severe concussion doubtful, his eyes were clear when he was being dragged off, and he was back on his feet wanting back on the flight shortly after...
They should arrest this guy for obstruction and for not complying to authoritative airplane officials..

#240“Boarding” means that the passenger presents a boarding pass to the gate agent who accepts or scans the pass and permits entry through the gate to the airplane, allowing the passenger to enter the aircraft and take a seat.It is possible in this regard to distinguish between the collective completion of the plane’s boarding process, which is not complete until all passengers have boarded and the cabin door is closed. But that is different from each passenger’s boarding, which is complete for each individual once he or she has been accepted for transportation by the gate agent and proceeded to the aircraft and taken his or her assigned seat.
Bottom line is that if the airline wants to bump you from the aircraft, it must deny you boarding. After the crew grant you boarding, the number of conditions under which they may deplane you substantially decreases.
In this case, United Airlines made the mistake of boarding all passengers and then trying to find space for additional crew. The airline should bear the burden of this mistake, not the passengers who successfully boarded the plane. If the airline doesn’t like this, it should have written a different contract.
Might the airline argue that it had the right to refuse transport because Dao was “disorderly, offensive, abusive, or violent” (Rule 21H1) or causing a “disturbance” (Rule 21H4)?
Although this depends on the facts, news reports suggest that Dao was not upset, and was minding his own business until he was told that he was being involuntarily removed and he was dragged kicking and screaming from the aircraft.
His being upset was caused by the breach by United Airlines of its contractual duties towards him as a passenger, rather than the reverse.
Finally, Rule 21 includes a provision on force majeure and other unforeseen circumstances such as weather, but there is no evidence that the airline had to specifically deplane Dao due to a force majeure that was impacting his plane.
United was fuckked... no matter how you slice it....

just a heads up, you're thinking like a liberal on this one. I'm trying to get you out of the pen so don't take it personal. Also, if you need a reminder of what it is to be an American today is a good day! Americans never listen to authority especially when we are in the right. It is in our blood and a requirement to be an American.
