Of course. Just transfer your bitcoin from Coinbase to GDAX (they are connected, the transfer is instant) and then sell on their exchange. You can then leave your USD amount on GDAX or transfer it back to your Coinbase USD wallet. You can do this for buys or sells. It also costs no fees if you make the orders on GDAX

Point of the sports book was not having to wait 8 days before my money got in coinbase...and as well as coinbase limitations on weekly deposits...I'm sure there is other ways I just don't know of them...maybe you can enlighten me.....small fees w no limit on deposits and fast transaction of bitcoin

As long as the value of BTC + B2X post fork is greater than BTC pre fork, we're in good shape. We did well with the last two forks.

This fork is much different because this is a real civil war. My hopes are that SegWit2x side decides to lay down and throw in the towel. There's too much money at stake to risk a BTC crash.

What they were hoping to do is fork and then immediately change the name so that the B2X coin would change to BTC. Then it would have been a smooth upgrade.

You are correct... anything can happen. I use to think like that. If a major retailer starts accepting these digital coins... or virtual coins as a payment... it will be here to stay. Amazon has been thinking about accepting them. I don't even worry when the price of the coin goes down anymore. Don't even care. It will rebound.

People panic every time is makes a retrace, but what they dont realize it cant just go straight up forever. People will start to panic soon that bought it at 7000-7500 when its below 6000 again. 100,000 people signed up at Coinbase in one day and probably bought the top.

Retraces are a normal part of the market. We went from 3000 to 1800, 5000 to 3000, and now its time (after the fork) to do it again.

I never had the mindset to be patient. I missed the boat when BTC was on the heater. I just woke up a few days ago and said... fuk it... I'm putting my entire bankroll in Bitcoin... and going to a Bitcoin only book. I'm not going to live in fear anymore. I've already lost a considerable amount... but I don't care.

I'm not looking for BTC to hit Home Runs. Just a couple of base hits... maybe even HBP to stay in the game.

I'm looking forward to the FORK a week from now... and we'll see what happens. More than likely I'm going to hang onto everything... just let destiny play out.

Here it is: Bitcoin will go up to around $7800 at the fork, then retrace down to the $5000-5500 range before going up again.

A lot of the alt coins are now climbing quick since the fork was called off, making up some of the losses I was suffering in that division. Lot of money would have been made had you bought OMG and SALT a couple days ago when people were selling off to buy Bitcoin in anticipation of the fork (30%+ gains in the last couple of days off their lows). I think Bitcoin will overall be in correction mode for the next week or two while people sell off to jump back into alt coins they originally abandoned before rebounding.

The fork was canceled which is why the price decreased. Roger Ver (Bitcoin Jesus) switched to Bitcoin Cash and that's up 45% the last 24 hours.

What's interesting about this sell-off... Gemini's price is usually lower than everyone else's as the going rate for BTC. Currently Gemini is $50-$60 higher than most tickers. So, you have to question a lot of things at the moment.
