I was a liaison for an office, I did the leg work, occasionally I would work the phones, but not often.
My job was to deliver, and collect, so I saw both sides of the coin on a weekly basis.
Buzzy the boss (and I betting the guy who you are considering stiffing) never stiffed anybody.
Books provide a service, they risk jail time, they are usually manning the telephones, or in todays age, replying to texts and e-mails when they say would.
