Come on people. I think most people agree that Jay should have gone all in around $1000 or so. If we had been there we would have. That was how we would do it. Jay would rather slow play it. That's how he bets. Do I think it's wrong? Yes. But who am I to tell someone else how to live their life and how to bet their games. It's his money and it's his life, he is the one who gets to decide how to play both.

To come in and ridicule or make snide comments just makes you look like a douche. Yes they do Swing.
The Mirage resorts like MGM, Monte Carlo, Excalibur, Luxor etc. all offer 1/2 time totals.
I have been down to Ceasars resorts like, Harrah's & Flamingo, & I saw them there to. The further away from the strip you venture you're chances to find 1/2 time totals may diminish but if you stick to the strip you can keep riding your 1/2 time hot streak!



Herbie & I made $14 each last night but what was remarkable about it, is that it was at virtually no risk at all.
The last 2 parlays came through for me but I have to buy cigarettes & paper plates & bowls & plastic untensills today.

Also bought a bottle of Rye & a bottle of Coke that I forgot to mention yesterday.

So the $494 became $463 & I will spend another $18-$20 on that other stuff I mentioned & I am using the $51 I hit for last night to play at the Monte Carlo in about 15 minutes.

So my running balance today is gonna be $443 after I sit at the poker table.

Hope I can make it till Sunday, that is sorta the new goal right now.
I don't know how 6 months turned into three weeks (although I'm sure everyone else does) but, I'm gonna try to stretch this out as long as I can.

Awesome story, Jay. You're SBR's Jack Kerouac. You've got me sitting on the edge of my seat these last few days imagining what it's like. With that said, I have one piece of advice. Not to sound pretentious or obvious, but this is a game of value. And being in Vegas, you're overpaying for a product (in regards to sports). So, and I do this also, try not to make a bet unless it beats the other books prices. Go on a site where you can see the current lines for multiple books and compare them to what you have. When you have a lean and are undercutting the market with your available price, you know what to do. When you don't have a price advantage, you know what no to do. Good luck, Jay. I hope to be reading your story for months to come.

I dont remember any book offering TEAM 1st half and 2nd half totals on games. Perhaps big games like the finals would be an exception.

Yes, I did misread, I didnt know you were talking TT. I haven't seen team totals for 1/2's.
Some casinos like the Bellagio & Hard Rock have machines & others, like here at the Monte Carlo, you have to go to the counter.
I'd like to shop around for the best lines but, remember I am on foot & it's a long strip.
Down more than $80 now, had my a$$ handed to me in the poker room again.

Another dose of bad news. You get another $100 in tourney chips for every hour you play over 25. There are some old timers here who live in the poker room & after talking to them the past two weeks I have come to realize that I will be sitting down with $2,500 chips & some of these guys will have 2.8 million!!!!
So I am gonna be short stacked cause there's no cap on the bonus chips.
Still, just means I might have to play a little more agreesive early.
We'll see but, yes, you are right, it's not lookin' good.

jay the whole strip is 4.2 miles, you need to find the best #s on the games you like considering your bankroll. El Cortez downtown you can get a room for around 30 a night they spread 1-4 stud SL regularly as well 20$ min buy in. Could be a decent option for you.
