A few I like at Churchill today...

Race 3...#3 Divine Dharma 6/1, faced 16K non winners of 3 last out at Oaklawn and now drops to 10K non winner of 2. Tyler Baze, who was aboard for lone win gets back aboard today.

Race4...#9 Fast Recovery 12-1, broke dead last in debut and was 16 lengths back at first call. Rallied to finished 5th of 12 that day and now stretches out to 1 1/16 and adds Lasix for second start.

Race 7...#2 Jo Marie 8/1, drops in class and cuts back to 7f. Jon Court picks up the mount.

Race 8...#9 Sprawl 4/1, improving with each race going against the likes of Gozilla, Maxfield, South Bend, Field Pass. Has a win at distance and Rosario picks up the mount.

A few I like today at Churchill...

Race 4...#4 Seahawk Lisa 15/1, drops in class and switches back to the turf

Race 6...#6 Cavatica 6/1, drops in class and adds blinkers for 2nd career start.

Race 8...#9 Queen Bridget 15/1, in top form after 3 good efforts on dirt against good company(Shedaresthedevil, Daphne Moon and Gamine), switches back to turf where she broke her maiden last year. Adam Beschizza, who was aboard for that maiden win, picks up the mount today.

Race 10...#10 Reigning Spirit 8/1, hesitated at the start and was dead last in his debut but rallied to finished 6th of 14, beaten less than 5 lengths by Spanish Kingdom, who won an allowance race here yesterday. Gets an extra furlong today and should improve off that debut effort.

#10 Whoville came out of same race as my selection(#6 Cavatica) and I actually looked at this one first but went with the 6 because it was his second start against Whoville making 6th start. #1 ran great at big odds, one to watch next out.

                                                  Belmont Opening Day

                                                  Race 1

#10 Kilmarknock (6/1) , Started the year off with a really nice number 2 back finishing 2nd, only time on a fast track. It was so good that Falcone stretched this one out and moved all the way to up the protected 60k level. Gelding was part of the pace, and then pulled up. Now finds his lowest level to date. I Believe Joel can rate this horse, while hopefully getting a fast track for the second time. Barn has decent numbers in these situations. #4 Star of the West (6/1) , Debuted almost over 10 months ago @ Saratoga, and ran fine, Wicked Trick was the winner. Rudy has solid numbers off the bench, off the claim, and adding the eye cups. Also remember this one took some money on debut. #3 Watch the Dip (15/1) , Comes from the Doug O’neil barn to the east coast into a stable I’m not very familiar with up here, as I believe he runs mostly at parx. Takes the big drop, gets in light, and has been working well down in Philly. #5 Vero Sun (5/2) , Takes the big drop as well, but comes from MSW at weaker tracks and although the numbers clearly fit, I have zero interest using on top as the favorite, but clearly can’t be ignored in the verticals.

                                                  Race 2

#8 Bray (9/5) , If this 4 year old colt can take another step forward in this spot off the 6 month layoff, will get his photo taken for top flight connections. First day of the meet and Im picking Joel to take the early Double! While I don’t like the 1 post going a flat mile on the turf @ Belmont, Johnny V was riding so well on the turf in Louisville, you can not ignore the #1 Mandate (3/1) , Will need a dream trip, but will back up the top choice. Most of those great turf wins Johnny had was for Mr. Graham Motion who saddles the #2 Smile Bryan (2/1) , Red Hot barn , 2nd off the layoff and trying turf only for the second time. #11 Polar Bear Pete (15/1) , Totes a ton of class in the back running lines, and while trying turf for the first time , I believe will be overlooked at the windows because of that and could crash the party underneath to help your vertical payouts with these chalky top selections.

                                                  Race 3

We faded Wesley Ward and had a ton of success in these to start of the 2 year old races down in Florida. But Horse Nation has wrote several articles on this colt and feels legit in #3 Fauci (4/5) , While its always difficult to single a 2 year old maiden race, Its probably the direction ill be looking.

                                                  Race 4

Just a wide open affair. #6 Stone Breaker (12/1) , Old Man Luzzi Rides this 4 year old gelding first try in the new Levine Barn. I don’t like horses leaving linda’s stable but this price is a joke. Could be the speed here and drops in class. is 6: 3-1-1 Lifetime and came vs tougher for the most part. Lost all chance at the start , in the comebacker back valentines week. #3 Business Cycle (7/2) , is a well known NY horse who just swallows up money as this now 7 year old gelding, doesn’t like to his picture taken. Note the Lifetime 15: 3-7-1. But barns loves those checks and this one sure delivers that. Always popular at the claim box, and this is a reclaim for Gary Gullo, who is hitting @ 23% in the last 96 mounts. Cannot be dismissed. #13 Javelin (9/2) , Has a strong late kick, and gets a gigantic upgrade in the pilot Seat. Will be flying late. #1 H Man (8/1) , #7 Moneymeister (5/1) , #8 Blue Belt (8/1) , #12 Too Fast to Pass (10/1) , All just kinda blend together, and have chances at their best. Clear Spread Race.

                                                  Race 5

#1 STrongerthanuknow (5/2) , Has really been caught up in lighting fast duels in the last 2 turf attempts and could just be best here. #10 Saratoga Love (5/1) , Ran well on debut and had a tough trip @ 2nd asking. CC and Joel team up again. #9 Fractorzation (6/1) , who is very dirtied up here , filly is meant for the turf and ran very well the only time she got to try it. #12 Crescent Lady (4/1) , Shortens up off the bench for Bill Mott and Johnny V.

                                                  More to come...

                                                    Race 6

This is a loaded turf route and extremely difficult to decipher. #12 English Soul (5/1) , 5 year mare has done her best running on the lawn, while keeping solid company. Sisterton had this one wanting to run and tried a mile on the dirt and wasn’t awful again AweEmma down in Hot Springs early April. Has early to kick to handle the outside slot and gets big jockey upgrade. #1 Passive Investing (3/1) , Has done nothing wrong to date, and its Chad/Javy, seems to fit even trying winners for the first time. #6 Fashion’s Star (10/1) , Shug had this filly overseas and went to bench for over a year, shipped to states and got tuned up down in Tampa , which feels like a prep for something like this. Others that make plenty of sense include: #4 Say Hey (12/1) , France Shipper for CC and Joel , #3 Madita (7/2) , Burned up money first 2 tries in the states , but clearly fits, & #5 Xanthique (8/1) , is always around. There are even others that make sense here. I mean I can make cases for most of the field. Just a fun race to watch, Highly doubt I’ll have a wager here. It will be fun to watch Old #7 Bareeqa (5-1) run vs these youngsters, Jeez Danny Gargan. Bareeqa is an old NY war horse 43 : 13- 4- 7 , who just went down to florida and picked up a 60k and 25k level wins. Really cool horse, mare gives it everything.

                                                    Race 7

#12 Box of Rain (12/1) , Is really interesting in here. Going to be so overlooked at the windows off those last 2 races. But the race 3 back fits , and Jeremiah has since gelded this one (which can be the biggest impact change in this game) , adds the blinkers to keep him even more focused, and takes the biggest drop in the game, while cutting back. This horse is going to be a price and a nice Across the board play. #9 Lorenzen (6/1) , Another one on the big drop , Casse/Rosario. 205k purchase can be yours for 30k here. #10 Inside Info (4/1) , Finds a new barn in Brad Cox. Ran 5th beaten by 6 only try on the dirt and that was 114k stakes race. The works are solid in the mornings. #11 Forest Sprit (5/1) , Chased on debut and weakened, has been working lights out for Carlos Martin and Jose takes over the reins.

                                                    Race 8

This field is loaded with speed, I think it really sets up for the #5 Arthur Kitt (8/1) , Finished 2nd of the long layoff at CC’s first asking to Temple, and just finds a field that even shortening up to a flat mile, is perfectly setup for this type of closer. #12 Cross Border (4/1) Another really good Horse, That Tyler will have to work the stalking trip.Chad Brown Saddles the #10 Value Proposition (7/2) , Colt is on the improve coming off a long layoff and Irad returns. #11 Hidden Scroll (5/2) , I thought was going to win last out but caught up with too much speed and now in a similar situation with trying the turf for the first time. Very tough ask, especially for this price. #3 Forty under (15/1) , Is another hidden Horse from the Jeremiah Barn. 4 year old colt is dirtied up from the last 2 dirt races, clearly prefers the green stuff, go 4 back to the GIo Ponti and finished 2 lengths behind Temple, & Halladay. Manny takes over. #1 Hay Dakota (8/1), the rail is tough going a flat mile on the turf here, and this horse is first running since being juiced with Jason Servis, so just rooting for him some. But taking a wait and see approach with all these runners.

                                                    Race 9

Albeit a short field, some of the best older mares in this one. #1 Rushing Fall (6/5) is going to be extremely tough in this spot , breaking from the rail, may not look back. Just did not handle that 10 post in last asking back before Halloween Down in Lexington. Brown’s Other #2 Fifty Five (5/1) is going to be a much better price and will be trying to stalk her stable mate, hoping she isn’t at her best. Obv Im a fan of #3 Got Stormy (7/5) , Actually both the last 2 are sired by Get Stormy, But im sorta against her in this spot. I think she needs a better setup, and isn’t quite as good as she was.

I think One of the Brown winners win it and if playing the sequence I’d probably single Rushing Fall.

                                                    Race 10

All I can say about this race is I do not trust the #1 In the Loop (9/5) , at all. How do you go from a impressive maiden victory to a Grade 3 and then lose by 8 in a 16k Optional Claiming and now drop in for the tag for 16k, once 150k purchase. Clearly something is wrong, I’ll just say bombs away and go deep as you can if you’re playing.

                                                                R7

#6 Mr. Fidget (10/1) , Is protected in this spot, ran second to a next out winner Titan's Will and shortens up. I don't like horses coming from Rice's barn of course, but this is one of the more underrated barns in NY with Mr James Ferraro.

                                                                HAve you guys seen this?
