How does one point go from a totally off market must play, to no play at all? Unless you think they're going to lose by exactly 15, in which case you're going to get a push, I just don't get it.

I would not have bet the game if there was not such a line discrepancy.

Now how do I go from a must play, to a no play simply b/c of one point? Simple, I have attained an edge from the actual market price. @ the time I bet +15, Pinny was sitting @ -14(-110). By looking @ this chart you will see that getting +15, is the equivalent of laying -130 @ +14.

I did not handicap this game, nor will I try. The Betting market provided me with a tremendous "value" bet.

Houli, want to get an even more accurate edge calculation? Go to Pinny, sign up, use their live odds and select the number you actually get. So in this case, since the line was -15 and you were getting -14, use pinny's alt line at -14 to plug into the half point calc and get the edge.

The +15 bet is actually a -EV bet with the current number being +14.5. If your laying -110 this bet will lose long term guaranteed.
