#8465* Indiana Pacers -9 1/2 -110
10* Oklahoma City -6 1/2 -110
Despite playing well, the Mavericks have lost five of their last six games straight up and are just 3-5 ATS spanning the last eight contests. Dallas is just 1-9 ATS (-8.9 Units) in road games after having lost five or six of their last seven games over the last two seasons. Moreover, Mavericks head coach Carlisle is just 13-30 ATS (-20.0 Units) in road games after having lost 5 or 6 of their last 7 games in all games he has coached since 1996. The Thunder have a very strong fast break attack ranking fifth in the NBA getting 16.1 fast break points per game. Dallas defense ranks 24th allowing 14.5 fast break points per game. The Thunder are a superior rebounding team as well. Dallas ranks just 25th averaging 73.3 points in the paint per game and are essentially a perimeter based shooting offense. With every kissed perimeter shot, the Thunder will look to push the ball and get as many fast break scoring opportunities as possible. This is not a recommendation for the ‘OVER’, but an example of the style of play, I strongly believe you will see the Thunder execute. In being the better rebounding team, the Thunder can minimize second chance scoring opportunities.Comment -

#851quit being awith your child like banter and please stop clogging up this thread with your useless opinions that do nothing to contribute to this thread. I feel sorry and ashamed for you that you spend your time like this trying to be John Ryan's spokesperson, looking for attention, when the guy hasn't even said a word to you.

John to communicate with me. I just enjoy reading the John Ryan thread for his insight and not the chief 42 can I pretty please be a part of johns thread and post my who cares record that has no insight whatsoever. Start your own thread and see who cares. No more responses from me as I have clogged this thread up enough and for that I apologize. Good luck to all and thanks John for all your contributions...... Win or lose your analysis is the best out there.

#854Holy crap, both of you just STOP! I get updates to this thread and maybe 1/10 times its actually John posting. 9/10 times its one of you two losers and your pathetic flaming. The first couple of times I just ignored it but seeing that neither of you are going to let it go, I'm telling it as it is. If you want to argue, feel free to start your own damn thread. Don't even reply to me. Don't reply to each other. Just let John post and other people ask questions/comment.Comment -

#855I don't have anything for tonight.. Oklahoma City up 16 points, but they do play 48 minutes and they were lucky to win - again.. Up 2-0 and I think this series is now all but over.
Philly/Chicago without ROSE IS just a coin flip.. You'll either look like a fool or a genius and good handicapping should be a combination of both.. kidding of course, but somewhat funny. Stay off of that game.Comment -

#861ok.. I am goig to make three separate plays on the samew game. I like the Thunder to cover, win SU, and for the total to be under
So, 10* Thunder + 3 1/2
5* money line Thunder +145 and
5* UNDER 195 -110
Best of luck...
what are you all thinking? anyone with any good angles , systems for tonight's card?Comment -

#862Just food for thought.. San Antonio is 21-4 ATS (+16.6 Units) versus good ball handling teams that are committing 14 or fewer turnovers per game this season. Utah is a strong ball handling team, but has this 'trend' lost it's meaning? many times, I have found angles that show incredible results - like this one- only to see it reverse course. So, I would almost view this is a contrarian type trend as the line will more than reflect the success of the Spurs..

#864The over on the back end of a double header national televised game is MONEY(Must be 2 West teams). Like tonight Over Dallas/OKC 195. The over is 3-0 in this trend just in playoffs. In regular season i dont have complete stats but its pretty much golden. Saves my ass every time.Comment -

#866Here is a bonus look at the Derby.
This race has veteran trainers such as D. Wayne Lukas, saddling his 45th Derby horse, the 50-1 Optimizer, and the current big-dog trainers, Todd Pletcher and Steve Asmussen, who both have top contenders. Pletcher's Gemologist (6-1 odds) is undefeated in five career starts. The distance is not supposed to be an issue for this son of Tiznow. Asmussen's Daddy Nose Best (15-1) has gotten a lot of Derby week buzz, and is another late-runner.
Fans of oddball owners and gray speed horses hit the exacta with Hansen. The horse, champion 2-year-old after nipping Union Rags in the Breeders Cup Juvenile, is named for the owner, Kendall Hansen, a Kentucky pain-management doctor who tried to paint his horse's tail blue for the Blue Grass Stakes - damn right, he's a UK fan - and throws out Hansen dolls to fans at the track.
The real speed should come from 50-1 Trinniberg, who could present problems for Hansen and any other horse who tries to keep up. However, Trinniberg has never run longer than seven furlongs. He may be going backward for those three additional furlongs.
Don't look for Union Rags to be among the early speedsters. There are questions about his pedigree for the 11/4-mile distance, although second dam Terpsichorist was a distance horse. His sire, former Haskell winner Dixie Union, excelled a little short of the mile and quarter.
The colt's dam, Tempo, brings sentimental pedigree as well, since Union Rags is not just owned by Wyeth, but bred by her, a family affair since Tempo was sired by Gone West, owned by Wyeth's parents.
so, Take hanson at 10:1 and Bodemeister at 4:1 to place .. and then Union Rages to show.. So, an exacta and trifecta as outlined with a solo bet on Hanson to win.Comment -

#870well, it took till the fourth quarter, but the Thunder really blasted the MAVS and swept the series and earned us a 5* winner Saturday.
Sunday I have a 10* Titan using the Hawks + 5 1/2 over the Celtics and the complete report is on the site!Comment -

#871JR,
It has been kind of rough making money so far in the playoffs. Kind of like March Madness. But I really have a difficult time with you putting the Hawks as a 10 Star play!!! Serioulsly!! I have followed your picks very closely and many of them have been suspect?? Now, that being said, we have discussed our ability to NOT take your picks and do our own thing. That is what we do as gamblers. Look and evlauate information and ultimately make a decision OR not.
This Atlanta (to date) has not showed me ANY ability to hussle or desire to win. That in large part may have to do with the age of the team. But seriously, to bet them a as a 10 star is puzzeling to me at best. I did not take them and chose to play Boston. As of this post.....it seems to be the right decision.
I read your writeup and this is what I do NOT get:
The Hawks rank sixth in the NBA averaging 15.9 fast break points per game on the season. Boston ranks fifth in the NBA allowing 11.7 fast break points per game,, but I strongly believe that Atlanta will be able to attack early in this game looking to wear down the aged Celtics. The more running the Hawks execute, even without ending the break with a score, will slowly wear down the Celtics starting five.In watching the game, look for the when the majority of perimeter shots begin to be short for the Celtics. This is the first and most prevalent sign of fatigue in basketball and that is when Atlanta can put the pedal to the metal and run the Celtics off the court.
The Hawks have yet to really wear ANYONE down. Perimeter shots are not even close to falling. Kinda lof like the other games have gone to date.
JR, I am not criticizing your plays, rather not sure I understand your writeup if you watch the previous games?
