You'll find yourself more happy then disappointed this year if you follow this trend. I have lost more than enough bets picking the Lakers favored by alot of points at home, that I will blindly fade them the entire year

Lakers were covering at a astonishing 40% last year, mainly because of this wide spreads. They got more depth this year but sounds like a good call, gl.

So you guys think the Raps cover the +13.5, that looks pretty good. The lakers have beaten the raps by that spread only 2 of the last 10 games they've played each other.

Toronto won't cover the spread by playing D, IMO. They have to hit shots and run/gun lakers all night.
Aside from Reggie Evans they have a below average rebounding team and their D can't stop the lakers.
I see a 120-110 game

Raptors game aside. I have lost countless of games through the years where the Lakers are favored heavily against garbage teams at home and not covering.
If you the like the Lakers as a play, it's profitable to bet on them playing against top 10 teams and when they're road dogs. But never on them playing inferior opponents at home. They just don't get motivated for those games, while the sorry team are trying to show case their game in the Hollywood limelite.

You'll have better luck playing lakers first half.. if they blow out the raptors first half, they're going to play extremely sloppy second half, look at the game vs grizz.

If the Lakers are leading by like 20 or more starting the 4th quarter against these inferior teams, Phil has a habit of sitting Kobe pretty much the rest of the way, with Gasol about 3-4 minutes later. And he will not bring them back in, unless the leads drops to 5 before hitting the panic button.
So you'll have teams like the Wizard or Timberwolvesas a 15 point dog with all their starters in, still playing hard against the Lakers backup in cruise mode.
Through my years of betting the Lakers, I find myself losing more than winning, so I have no doubt this will payoff by the end of the year guaranteed! And yes I do bet alot of Lakers game because it's usually the last game of day to chase or double up on, but usually ends in disappointment.

Can't fade the Lakers against the Raptors. The Lakers have a more ambitious bench this year. Going Over on Lakers TT seems like the real deal here.

They didn't cover the spread though, which was the point of this thread.

Missed the over by a basket.
Knew the raps would cover but went for the over instead.

so true. Seen so many laker home games where theyve had big leads yet only let that fade. Minnesotta and washington late last season spring to mind. Toronto also when kobe hit that shot with 1.8 sec left. Houston and toronto this season also. Then they came out and blaze the blazers by 25. Unpredictable.

The Lakers are great 1Q and 3Q bets when the line is big. I like playing those alot better than 10+ game lines.

Here you go fellas, Golden state +12 against the on the road. Lakers has cover 3 straight on the road in dominating fashion, no way they don't do the same against the warriors. Expecting another meltdown on Sunday.

lakers wouldnt have won either of the last 2 years if boston hadn't had key injuries (garnett 2yrs ago, perkins last year). and the reffs rigged the 4th qtr with their constant rediculous calls.

I can careless about all those yada yada stats. I will blindly stick to my fade, and at the end of the season, I will be on the profiting end.
