#807Thanks Dex. I really need to, more to limit my plays and track myself than anything else. I'm still putting way too much into play, and the more you play, the closer to .500 you get.
I don't lock anything in early like you -- always wait to see where late money goes. Sometimes that's good, and sometimes it isn't. There are times where you get great early #'s.
I've always meant to ask you: when you see a line moving strongly against your early number, do you ever buy out of the play?
just a nice organized way of tracking performance by sport. lights a fire under me to not chase which we all have done in our sports gambling days.
never buy out...how can you if the line moves against you? wide open to get middled unless you find a soft # to match the play you made...Comment -

the knicks are red hot, but look at the teams they have beat on this win streak.....the win in NO and home to denver were impressive, but other then that they beat a bunch of avg to below avg teams. the fact that they are so hot is why i love boston. the celts will look to send a message to ny, and what happened in bos on 10/29 is irrelevant imo....boston will take this game a lot more seriously then they did back then when they were supposed to beat up the knicks.Comment -

Im not saying the celtics dont win so u prob good with the Moneyline I just think it comes down to 1 possession.
Celtics wont be able to stop the knicks from scoring. Look at how how the total was set.....Comment -

the total was set at the score from the game on 10/29....it immediately was moved down by my sharp bookie from 206 to 205.
are you going? im trying to but it doesnt look likely...Comment -

#822i could tell from some of your posts that you may be a knick fan....only advice i can give you is dont overbet on your fav team....you sometimes wear blinders cause you have a passion for them. i do think it can easily be a close game, which is why i am just gonna play the ML.....

#830why don't you ever buy out? I use to struggle with it too, having money on one team, trying to accept that it could be a losing bet.
is it because you lose juice?Comment -

#832Thanks Lyon I just read it. I however disagree with not buying out. I think live betting is one of the most useful tools as it gives u insight on 24 minutes of gameplay. I think this is more insight then just line movement from pregame. What do you guys think ?Comment -

I personally think if I flip my lucky coin pregame just right and hold my mouth the right way it really doesn't matter about the line movement nor the live play bet.Comment -

#834Sometimes I really wonder about these NBA games. More often than I'd like to admit it seems as if the teams are aware of certain lines and seem to do their OBVIOUS best to make or break a spread.
I can't remember the game but this one team scored 46 points in the 1st quarter and 13 points in the 2nd. Now some of you won't believe me but I'm an old timer who lived and played in Vegas long before it became a place for the kiddies, cell phones, computers and all the rest. Sharps had their runners lined up at phone booths to make their "calls"
One night at the Stardust (the only place a REAL PRO would place their action) myself and a few friends saw this literal "shady character" with sun glasses on at night and a coat pulled up around his neck and face as much as possible. As Holy God is my witness this turns out to be none other than Jerry Buss...owner of the L.A. Lakers.
I won't take the story any further other than to say IT WAS HIM and you can bet (no pun intended) that he "KNEW" or had GREAT influence in the outcomes of the games he bet before placing his wagers.
Officials bribed? Games fixed? Lines manipulated? Well, we can put a man on the moon, we have graft, vice, cheating and corruption in the highest echelons of our political, judicial, financial (Wall street),medical and military systems to name but a few and you don't believe that a basketball game can be fixed?
If you don't then I've got a bridge in New York City that I can sell you cheap!Comment -

Awesome shit man.... Just tell us one thing though... Why does a multi-billionaire feel the need to win a 5K bet? Is Vegas that stupid? Have you ever tried to walk to the window and lay that kinda money? You think if you and your budies knew that was Jerry Buss nobody else would possible noticeJerry Buss can't really go unnoticed can he
You think the vegas bosses wouldn't notice? Because you can't just walk up to the window and place 5K without somebody coming over and marking it... you have to get past the gate keeper to lay that kinda money.. I been to Vegas

#837people are amazing....Jerry Buss in the Vegas sportsbook....you have got to be kidding me...why in the world would he be there...maybe he was going to buy a sportsbook and casino alltogether???...we all know Pinnacle take 100000 on a game...there are a few book that will take same ball park size bets...but let's be realistic...for how much will the book open a naked position...I mean any book...half a million is max I would think...maybe a million, and obviously not in every game right...here with all the "shrlock holmes" on this forum, we hear that if the bet is lost then it is a fix, no ? asked...easy...ok, let's assume this is true...now I have a question, what will it take to "fix" a game...I never tried to fix a game, but I will think it will take more than one person, aren't you agree...reffs, then what about players...ok so you bribe them too, don't know how, but let's just say that you manage to bribe reffs, players and coaches as well...so now this just has to stay secret...how in the world this many people can keep a secret like that...we all heard the story with Donathy or whatever his name was...I personally think that this is b/s as well...he might be able to influence his winning percentage, and this is one guy who were doing it for a while by himself, and get caught...but if you listen to this forum, there are at least 5-6 fixes a day in NBA...this is just crazyComment -
