Im very skeptical about the utah and detroit series. utah has to face miami, orlando, and atlanta on the road.. and detroit is horrible this year just straight up and doesnt look like they will win none of the 3 matchups they are to deal with.
however, if i were to only bet on 1 i would bet on the detroit games simply bc the strength of the teams utah will face.
any insight of what you guys are doing as far as these bets?

The strength of the teams you back/teams they face is completely irrelevant! We are backing at the spread, not to win straight up! please see my earlier post - if a team is bad, the listed spread will reflect this.. similarly for good teams. You think the vegas line makers don't understand to give bigger handicaps to bad teams!?

If you look back at the system losses over the years, being a bad team has nothing to do with anything. Facing hard teams has nothing to do with anything. Bad/good teams have both lost system series'. Teams PLAYING bad/good teams have both lost system series'. There is no pattern whatsoever to this. Thats all I have to add on this topic

We are not backing Detroit to win 1 game of their series! Backing them to win 1 game vs the spread. If they poor team then they get better handicaps.

they are not 'JM' picks. They are 'JM system' picks and yes, they qualify by system rules, hence later tonight JM will send out an email saying to play these games. As well as prob adding some BS onto his email about picking up another 'sure fire' winner with the GS series

Have you actual figures on what win % (at the spread) teams have in their first game back home after a 3+ game opposite conference road trip? Could be worth looking at. Although I would imagine that the line makers in Vegas would factor this into their algorithms when they calculate lines for teams in this situation.

If you have actual stats please post them I would be very interested in long term win %

ummm 3 years but I have backtested further than that. Definitely no pattern with series losses reflecting the strength of teams playing / strength of teams who they are playing. 2 series losses last year were very decent teams (houston and denver, off the top of my head)

I assure you these are facts and not just my personal opinion. Having said that, if you are ever uncomfortable about a series it is best to not play it as, the payout for a win is comparably small and, the cost of a loss is comparably very high.. Missing a couple wins won't harm you much but catching a loss might. Nonetheless, historically, strength of teams is irrelevant when looking at series losses

I will be playing both, but will weight more on Utah. This is not because they are a better team, but because Stanley77 did some research and found that the risk of losing is greatly reduced if you only play teams who do NOT have a second road trip starting within one month of when the current one ends. (in this case the current one being the series which start tomorrow) In this case Detroit has a second road trip within a month of the 1st one so I will be a little more cautious with Detroit. Utah does not have a second road trip within a month so they are very strong, for me.

Would not make sense to me to back more on one team without a good reason as all you are doing is 'putting all your eggs in one basket'

Anyone following his 'Rigged' system? I show Phx/Memphis to have been a play last night with Phx. Anyone know what the spread was? Looks like a loss to me.

I have "Rigged" games. But I do not think they were such. To check it in as both teams must have at least two white. Memphis has only one white player. So it can not be a "rigged" game.

You are correct, I'm sorry to say Topgirl has it wrong. The play was with Phoenix last night, I had the choice between playing "Rigged" Phoenix or Memphis in the home series system. I went the wrong way!.

I was wrong there. That's right. It would have worked. Phoenix played the road as it would buy 2.5 points according to JM. I do not what the spread was on.

While it can certainly go wrong sometime.

Looked through and found that for most of the team is at least one black judge. There must be three white judges. Then we had two games remaining. Personally, I would not bet on those who remained.
