I should not have to go through my 20's being a Knicks fan. It was incredible back in the mid to late 90's when I was a teen, now I don't feel the Knicks can propel without a superstar.
I find young people are a lot easier to jump ship. The young generation seems to follow the players and not the teams. The sports owners probably created this culture as they moved players around like chess pieces to the point where this generation feels like "I've got to get mine". Most young people today are more interested in what the company/country can do for me NOT what can I do for the company/country. It's almost an entitlement attitude.

Old school folks think your selling out. Your leaving your wife for the young skank. The "for better or worse", means nothing for the bandwagoner. They just want to be entertained. They have more passion to making money then passion for the game. Very similar to Lebron.

Im a Toronto Blue Jays (27 years), Los Angeles Kings (22 years) and Minnesota Vikings (12 years) fan so you cant say I follow only winners
Umm sure we can.. in fact.. that's exactly what YOU are saying... Why aren't you a fan of all those teams for the 27 years? a Kings fan for 22 years.. umm that means in 1998 you switched.. hey, look at that.. that's when Gretsky joined. A Vikes fan for 12 Years.. hey look at that 1998.. the year they went 15-1... have fun with the Heat.. you and every other fake fan. You should have had your wife buy you a Yankee hat too.... they must be next.

I just assumed he was a Canadian and started switching slowly.. now that i think about it.. and I hate to think about this.. 27 years ago would be when Joe Carter hit that awful home run in game 6 of the WS. Sooo.. either this guy is a troll or he's at home with a saturn in his driveway, smoking crack and drinking "new" coke.

The Heat are going to be a lot of fun to watch, but it has to be hard to say that you are a fan of the way this was probably all planned.

Also, I hate the ring argument even more now. All these guys are going to end up with a bunch of rings, but their full talents aren't going to be utilized or displayed because they aren't going to need to be displayed.

It saddens me to think we've already seen the best of LeBron James and Wade, now they're going to be like the Celtics big three and sacrifice great individual performances for rings.

Raps fan here and sticking with them...should be good enough to make the playoffs next year as i think they will be better without bosh....and come playoff time i will be cheering for everyone vs the heat if lebron is as good as he says he is well then why not stay in cleveland and win one with his team insead of joining an all star tean, regardless even if he does win his rings i wouldn't put him over the jordan's and bryant's who did stick with there teams to get the rings and didn't jump ship and go elsewhere

I was born in Cleveland and have been a life long Cleveland fan. I too now live in Houston and although I can cheer for Houston sports, my heart will always be with Cleveland. If Cleveland plays Houston then I want Houston to lose. Pretty simple.
