Blazers are trying to jump San Antonio, so they do NEED this bad. They are well rested, and Broy has had horrendous shooting nights the last two games, so you gotta think he jumps out of his slump and puts up big numbers tonight. Only thing that has me worried is Dirk balls out against Portland, and they really have no one who can guard him. I'm leaning towards sprinkling some POR ML as I think this comes down to the wire.

Guys, a lot of u guys r saying that this is a must win for Portland cuz they wanna jump SA. That's true, but the better team is the mavs. I can same the same about them. Utah and denver are both a half game behind the mavs. IMO, the mavs can't afford to lose this game. Again, no official play from me yet just my thoughts on this particular game. Didn't Andre miller score 50 last time they played?

Yes he did but that was without Brandon Roy so take that with a grain of salt. The way I look at it is this...do you think ANYONE wants to be in that 8th spot in the west and play the Lakeshow first round? Yes Portland plays LA the best of anyone at home, but I don't think anyone wants to play LA first round. I think it basically depends upon how Portland shoots from outside to be honest.

I think Caron can potentially play Roy pretty tough tomorrow night. The blazers have no answer for Dirk like every other team in the NBA. Portland is a tough place to play in but I think the mavs can win this SU. So if I can get the mavs with points, I'll take it even if it's on the road in Portland.

All valid points. I think its a tight game and that Por wins SU, but not sure on that cover. I could be quite wrong as well, and I know LB said he was leaning towards Dallas as well so you're probably right on your analysis. It's either Por ML or no play for me most likely. What do we think on the totals?

no, i'm not from texas actually. tex hooper is a character from the norm macdonald comedy album that came out a few years ago. i don't have any special local insight into the rockets. sorry bro.

Wow, went to sleep early last night and all hell broke loose it seems...So I take it Paco won't be posting plays anymore ?

Anyhow...saw some people posting questions about Cuse and Butler and the sweet sixteen....I live with 3 other guys who are Big East fanatics, I'm the ACC nut, and the general consensus is that Syracuse is a huge mismatch for Butler all across the board. Cuse's athleticsm and length will smother Butler resulting in what I think is an easy win. Duke and Purdue is another huge mismatch, Duke's size, strength, and experience all comes into play here and of course no Hummell for Purdue who in many an expert's opinion, were incredibly lucky enough to have even made it this far. Purdue couldn't beat Duke last year with Hummell, I think Duke comes out big here and rolls over the Boilermakers. I haven't made an official play yet tonight, but I'm going big on both these teams on the moneyline, still need to watch the spread and see how it turns out. I also think Cornell will cover against Kentucky, Cornell with all these seniors and the most efficient offense in the country against quite possibly the youngest and most inexperienced team in the tournament in Kentucky. I'm from NY though so I'm slightly bias towards Cornell...
