Why don't you guys create a thread and go flame elsewhere. This is Lakerboy thread for his plays. I am sure he doesn't mind discussion on the game but what you guys are doing is immature and just brings negative vibes to his thread.

The ref stats for today, two out of the three refs favor the OVER/Road team. I don't think they should really influence the play much thought today as they aren't extremely in favor of any side/total.

Shouldn't we be doing what we can to ensure that this thread picks the correct team for the win or the correct total being over or under? I want to win and hopefully everyone else does. I am a laker fan, but I won't hesitate to bet against them if that is the best call.

I have looked at the first half and it seems like the over is the correct call. Here are the stats for the last 10 games. The current line is o/u is 96.

6 overs, 3 unders, 1 push
boston wins 1H, then 1H over is 3-1
Lakers win 1H, then 1H over is 2-2-1
Boston wins game, then 1H overs is 3-1
Lakers win game, then 1H over is 3-2-1
Boston at Home, then 1H over is 2-2
Lakers at Home then 1H over is 3-1-1

I am leaning over, anyone have different opinion?

Last response to this...I am never old enough to learn....Lb and paco...show me moneyline movement.....which in the past I did not completely understand....over and over the same negativity to other posters from the same individual......no one likes to be berated...whether on the internet or real life.......i am only responding in this manner (which is out of character for me)....in the hope to see it end...it is unnecessary....and rude.......no one person here knows it all.....respect given is respect recieved in return

Ya guys im liking the over in this one too. I think boston will push the pace more in this game because they should know that their best chance to win this game is with a good transition offense. I also see this game close so ill take the extra fouls at the end of the game

I agree. We all had a nice hit with the Under in Game 3 -- now it's time to switch to the Over.

As for the game itself, I wouldn't bet the house, but you have to go with the C's. Ray is not gonna go o-fer again, for one thing; he should have his legs under him now -- the quick turnaround hurt him. Rondo will make more magic. Baby will contribute.

And look for a huge game from Pierce tonight.

Of course, the refs have had a major influence, I hope they keep the fukking whistles in their pocket tonight!!

Why should we look for this? If I could pick one guy in the NBA to guard Pierce it would be Ron Artest and he is doing a great job on him. Pierce has looked very, very sluggish in this series and it's obvious that fatigue now throughout these playoffs is catching up to him. Is he really going to be energized all of a sudden with only one day of rest? He may have a above average game but I highly doubt he has a huge game tonight.

Nothing wrong with capy's opinion or analysis but consider the source. Capy is a Boston fan and all Boston fan's are eternally optimistic group.

IMO, this game will come down to late execution. Who will you side with?

Me, I don't have all the answers or even a good analysis to give. However, imo the Lakers have 2 more wins to get and I will not miss those.

Paul Pierce might be right imo. He told the LA fans "we ain't coming back to LA" There is a chance that they don't see the Staples Center again this season... Just not the way Pierce had intended.

Besides the Lakers have closed out every other playoff series on the road dating back to the conference finals with Denver last season. It's what they do. I realize this situation is a little different with the format but I am not going to bet against the Lakers.. That's for sure.

I have made no play on this game yet but NO WAY will i take Boston tonight. If i dont like what i see i will pass on the game and wait for Halftime. Its not wise going against the Lakers when they get points.

checked the ref stats and the refs assigned to this game are 26-26 ats when the home team is favored between 0-4.5 pts but Scott Foster is 9-1 SU when he refs Laker games and 5-5 when he refs Celtic games. Eddie Rush is 4-6 SU when he refs Laker games and 5-5 when he refs Celtic games and Greg Willard is 10-0 when he refs Laker games and 8-2 when he refs Celtic games. So kind of interesting, and their combined SU record for Laker games are 23-7 and 18-12 for Celtics.

It doesn't seem like the books are giving the Lakers the same chance to win this game as they did in game 3. You can get +160 if you like the Lakers to win SU tonight. I think this is Boston's game to win tonight but don't have a good feel on the spread because there is a good chance this game goes down to this wire.

Good question. If Garnett gets 25 then I bet the Celtics lose. There's no way that garnett should be shooting enough to get 25. For the Lakers, will Odom get a double double? Will Gasol get 20 pts?
