The Liberty are giving it to them, the commentary people are just as puzzled as I am. And then watch NY return home and lose to Chicago??? Stuff like this rarely happens in the NBA...

GUYS, understand this. You have to stop thinking like a fan, and start thinking like an owner. This is PROFESSIONAL sports, ie. the idea is to make money, NOT to reward the best team. The best team only wins sometimes, GET IT?? So all you guys scratching your heads, get with the program. IT'S NOT ABOUT THE BEST TEAM WINNING!!!!

Yes, it's a hard concept. But let me make this point. WNBA tonight. 3 road teams, all significant underdogs, Win handily. How do you explain that? Think like an owner, not a fan, and the answer is right in front of you. CK and Sexy understand this. The owners make money, and the books make money. John q. public loses. Sound familiar?

So what your saying is the WNBA is rigged which I highly doubt that. I guess all 3 games had an explanation. Detroit didn't want to get swept by Washington in a season series. Sacramento was more hungry for a win they haven't won a game since what... And LA is coming off a back to back and NY Liberty were more hungry for a win because they haven't won since what... The horrible teams have to win sometimes...

Haha. What you have to ask yourself is this. From an ownership and management standpoint, is parity between all teams best, or is having two or three teams that dominate every night best. Evaluate in terms of making profit.....and quit thinking like a fan. Why. Because they lose. You know that. The Sparks wipe out Indiana, the best team in the league last night by 12 points, and then in the same gym lose to one of the worst teams the very next night. The score tonight flattered the Sparks. Try to explain it...they were tired, they let down their guard, they're looking to the next series blah blah blah. And if you believe that, you will continue to lose. Parity sells seats. Domination creates empty seats in the have-not teams of professional sports. If YOU were an owner, and you were buddies with the other owners, what would YOU do?

i just answered the question. that's what i'd do.
i see where you're going on this, but i think teams generally win when they can and lose when they aren't in a good spot to win. the best team will never win every single time. determining these spots are what makes a good situational wagerer. i don't necessarily think the fact that there's some ownership boys club has as much to do with it as you're saying, but i'm open to the concept if you want to be more specific.
i was always under the impression that the owners controlled parity from a payroll perspective rather than from a game-to-game perspective.

Some good points there Tex. As you can tell, I'm pretty cynical about this because to me it's a better explanation of why great teams play poorly for no apparent reason, and poor teams suddenly become invincible for one game, but hey, we all have our opinions right or wrong. My hope is that through the picks and the great discussion on this thread, we can handicap based on likely outcomes which are different than John Q. Public's evaluation. BOL to all.

Now relocated in Milwaukee after endless miles of travel. I am hella tired, but after a good nap, I will do the micro brewery tour and visit some of the local sites. I wll take any suggestions as I don't know much about the city and these suburban types don't seem to hip to me. They are some youngins' that are completely Pinoy on my wife's side of the family, so I'm sure that they will know what's up. I 'll be catching up with them later on. Bring on the Brats and Brew! Later on tonight the Brewers/Padres game, Saturday, Cheese/Browns. I hear the town is really small and totally dedicated to the Peckers.
Anyway, on to brass taxes. The lines are out and here's what i see and my take:
Detroit+4 at Atlanta-4 o/u 143.5
At first glance this game looked like a shoo in for the Dreamers but then I looked back and saw that the Dreamers beat the Pistons 98-95 in overtime 7/22/09 and also by 10 the time these two played on 6/26/09. I had already saw that the Dreamers have covered against Detroit 3 straight times which got my mouth to watering for taking the Dreamers. This was off set by the fact that the Storm are like the Buffalo Blls of the WNBA. We have double revenge in this game working against the Dream. They don't stand a chance at winning it. I told Sexymit that when playing Detroit in the 2nd half of the season against east coast teams on the road, take their moneyline and don't stop. With the Dreamers actually being favored in this game by more than the first home game (-1.5) there is an inflated moneyline for Detroit there for the taking It's so nice I have to do it twice. In part two of the moneyline road trip,
Detroit+170 Moneyline
Seattle +4 vs Connecticut-4 o/u 160
Seattle is 0-5 ats on streak. On the other end of this airplane ride is a Samson15 (let's stop calling them that and call them by the name of ourguy who authored the system in the future)Play vs Connecticut. Connecticut blew out the Mystics by 29 last game, so the public won't even see this one coming. There's a revenge angle at work here with the Sun having won the last game between these teams 80-76.
Seattle+4 or more
Fevers-3 Lynx+3 o/u 160.5
Indy lost by 22 points at home against the Lynx 6/7/09. Minny has covered in 3 straight versus Indy. So naturally I'll take the road chalk if forced to do it. After getting dusted by the Sparkles, the woodshed door is open for the hapless Lynx to come on in. Indy wins this one by 10 in revenge.
Indy-155 moneyline (I will not take them at this number (3)personally.)
San Antonio+6.5 Phoenix-6.5 o/u 177.5
Oh yeah, you already know that the Mercury want to burn rubber all over the Silvers having lost in embarrassing fashion to the Fever. Phoenix lost to the Silvers s/u and ats in the last game 6/23/09. This Silvers' team doesn't seem to have the heart that they used to have. How can you let yourself get lit up like that at home by the Monarchs of all teams The number is steep, but it is supposed to look that way. Phoenix has gone under in 4 out of their last five games, but not with this formula brewing. This game goes over with ease. Order is restored.
San Antonio/Phoenix over 177.5 (Hell yeah!)
Now it's time for me to go over there and see some of the science f*ckers
So degenerates here's the condensed size of what i am proposing for Thursday's action. I won't be around much because I will be out and about with my folks, but Twitter Nation doesn't care about that this is what they want for Thursday:
Detroit+170 Moneyline Seattle+4 (Samson15 play) Indiana-3 San Antonio/Phoenix over 177.5
Select any of these goodies and make them a Project Play, Sexymit. These picks will go 3-1 at the very least. Detroit moneyline is my favorite of them all
well done ck, hope u and family enjoying the holidays. we all appreciate what u and sexy do 4 us. now give the science f...kers hell.

Nope I can't be in two places at the same time, homes! I think that the Raiders/Cowboys game goes under. The Cowboys certainly don't have a decent backup and the Raiders will f*ck up enough times to keep the score low! Always take the under when there is a home dog in the preseason
