It's time for a good old fashioned PC Play to liven it up around here and today, we are riding a team that has run into some tough times recently, which is always a good time to take a team. Georgetown is not playing to their skill level this year and they are on a bad streak right now losing two straight games by a combined average of 13. They are going to play doormats Seton Hall at the Prudential Center as 8.5 point road favorites. Seton Hall had some success against the crop of Hoyas before this group. This group of Hoyas blasted Seton Hall out of the gym last year on the road, and I see no reason to not back the stronger more talented team that still has hopes of climbing back up the conference standings by taking care of an inferior opponent in Seton hall, that has covered in four straight stuffing the pockets of their followers. They won't be so lucky this time when they face the Hoyas stingy defense that allows only 38.8% field goal percentge and only 62.5 ppg against superior competition and a tough schedule. Seton Hall gives up an average of 44% field goals and also 75.2 ppg.
The cover streak ends here for Seton Hall. There is a serious gap in defensive talent in this game. And with Seton Halls' issues of their own on the defensive end, this one could get ugly very quickly in the 2nd half.
PC Pick Georgetown-7.5 HEAVY (Buying a point to get under the key number)
Rhode Island is coming off of another tough but close loss. The last time that they came off a close tough loss to Xavier, they responded by blowing out Fordham by 31 easily covering the line of -21. The Colonials have also cvered the number in three straight games, but despite the great ats record against the Rams of 9-1, it's awfully hard to keep covering the number. the spread for this game is entirely too low for the type of talent that Rhode Island is putting on the floor THIS year. They will keep the pedal to the metal and beat the Colonials by double digits after they had a tough loss to Dayton in their last game. Blowout City, bay-bee!
Rhode Island-4.5
The Bulls have lost more than 3 in a row straight up. The T-Wolves are coming off of a signatue win against a wounded but quality team. The T-Wolves already beat the Bulls this year by double digits. It's the first game of an out of conference road trip. You already can see where I'm going with this. The T-Wolves will get caught with their pants down and still drunk off of their "big" win. Bulls pummel the T-Wolves. Ben Gordon was fined for being late to the plane trip. Any points given to the Bulls is too many. I am going against the green star on this one and getting real gangster about it.
Bulls+6.5 with a point buy
I am also taking Georgetown-4 1st half as well
4 point college basketball teaser
Vanderbilt +5
UCF-3
Ohio State+7
Those are my 4, you guys fill in the blanks now. The board is yours...
