is it me or is the pistons line a little fishy, there only -1! in charlotte .. they come out of the gates strong so i might take them for the 1st half .. but i think -1 is way to low for the game, i dont think raja and diaw are going to make that big of a difference .. and yes the bobcats are home but theres usually only 200 fans there every night its almost like running a scrimmage in practice so the crowd will be a no factorComment -

CLE is now at -4.5; strange, I expected the line would go up ?
Also losses yesterday as most of the people here, but the days before were very good, so no worry.
CLE covered their spread 10 games in a row. I used to play them till yesterday, because I thought they would have probs without Ilgauskas, but the bench played very well.
So I won't play against CLE anymore, neither against BOS at home. The only big team I bet against are the LAL, last games they hardly can cover the spread.
For today I won't play that many games, I will pick a few
CLE -4.5
DET - 2 (DET is playing bad and can't cover the spread the last game, but think one game they will play at normal and cover the spread easy. I think they will win at WAS)
DAL -12 : Okc is a weak team and DAL playing better last weeks.
ORL @ UTA : I read that Howard might play, not sure yet. Playing or not playing is a huge difference ... UTA very strong at home, but ORL a very good road team.
HOU @ LAC : since randolph playing for the clippers they won 2 of the last 3 games. But HOU is a strong team. I think Clippers have a chance
I will come back later. First will watch NACC game tenesse which I have TEN -7. I also have Butl @ Ohio state over 121. Together they averaging 130, so think 121 would be no problem.Comment -

I just want to comment on what CK posted above. I also do not like the fact that right after games ended last night people came in the thread pointing fingers. CK has been generous to help people pick winners and if you do not like the advice you dont have to take it.
The problem is people blindly take his picks and when they lose they throw stones. You havnt done any research or giving any input so for many you have no reason why you even took that game. Anyone who follows another mans picks blindy will get angry and most likely get buried in the long wrong.
I use the advice in this thread to go along with the knowledge I already have. I dont believe you should ever change your pick just because someone else likes the other team unless their is very sound advice behind it. CK has said to go against the Mean Green the last two days but I did not take that advice because I am a Celtics fan and I never bet against them. If he won those two games I wouldnt be mad because thats my philosophy.
Again please have some opinions wehn you post in this thread. The last two days it has become what about this play and what about that play. If you want an answer you should at least post why you are leaning one way or the other.
Finally stop bashing. If you take the advice and place your wager and its a loser. Dont come back and start blaming people. Thats ridiculous!!!!

CK, huge game at noon: Ohio St against Butler. This is a huge revenge game for Bucks. I predict something like 65-45 to Ohio St.
Also Tenn looks good against the Temple. Temple's victory over Penn St. missleading a lot of bettors because Penn team is very weak this season.

my man CK, i was looking around and i noticed the warriors are +14.5 in denver .. i think thats too many points for a warriors team who executes offense as good as anyone, and the nuggets are rolling with chauncey lately but they do not play great defense .. and being that you loved the warriors all week .. i was wondering if on any night .. why not tonight?Comment -

It's too late, I have already played Mississippi +4.5. But the line is doing what it is supposed to do by going down. What I find significant about this game is that the linemaker already went below a key number (4) which is a bad sign for New Mexico. generally, he hates to go either above or under key numbers unless he feels that he has made a mistake and is trying to correct it to stay in good with the various sportsbooks. Don't think that the books weren't calling after the action on this game. Another prime example is the Tennessee game. He had to get off of one key number (6) and bypass all of the in between and go over the next one (8) to 8.5. So it basically has gone from being a 4 (meaning it would take 6 point win in order to cash the ticket) point game to a 10 point game (8.5 means that Tenny needs to win by 10 in order for you to cash the ticket).
Besides, the Mississippi ballclub is made up of brutes. They won the rebounding battle last year 32-28, and had 9 (wow) offensive rebounds,which of course was the reason why they shot 50.9% from the field, and got sent to the line 33 times (damn that's Boston Celtic like) to New Mexico's 20. A look inside of those numbers means that the Rebels have the stronger inside game and the better defense, as the Lobos were relegated to hacking trying to keep them off of the boards. The Rebels have ball hawks at the guard position and they average almost 7 steals a game, and yes those brutes average a torrid 10.1 offensive rebounds a game this year. they gave West Virinia all that they could handle losing by 2 points and injuring Joe Mazzula when he ran into one of the Ole Miss body guard types. The Lobos are 2-6-1 ats this year under Steve Alford. And I am mad at them for blowing out my alma mater Grambling State 96-50 anyway. New Mexico covered against the Rebels last year. I don't think that they will be so lucky this time being favored an having to win. According to my rescoring model, I have the Rebels wnning by 8 again.
I have already played Georgetown-5.5. Since it is below a key number and I can't get below the next key number by buyng a hook or a point, I am playing it straight! I just spoke with BigMoney and he said that pronk has posted a play so i have to end this post and check it outComment -

To hell with the Warriors! We rode them as long as we could. Once they burned me, I had to let up off of them. I wish that I had the foresight to do the same with the Celtics! No way. Denver may blow them off! Accordng to the power ranking numbers the Nuggets should beat them by 6 points or so, but they looked so awful last night that Iwould have to have a lot of drinks to take them in this spotComment -
some advice I guess for the ones that lost and are upset and think its CK fault, do what I do check the games come up with a list of games that if HE WASNT HERE YOU WOULD PLAY! and then compare them to his and if he takes the same game your taking then u know thats a lock in ur book because he has backed up your pick (obviously there are no locks but to me if he picks the samething I like then its a lock in my book and if I lose I lose but I love the play because its what I like also).
He post every few days on college basketball and football and I never tail/fade him because I dont know anything about that should be the same for everyone else out there! best of luck to everyone tonight!Comment -

I actually like that play a lot. The total is low for a reason I guess. The Rockets are a slow down team playing on a back to back, and the Clippers as you indicated played overtime last night. That is a good recipe for an under if i ever saw one. I think that i will have to roll with you on that one. The line is inching down on it already too. I normally don't play it too much until the conference seaon starts. I don't put anything over $150.00 to $200.00 on college plays until then. It's too easy for a kid to be touched to throw a game. These are basically fun bets. Conference games are more meaningful, and by that time you get a good idea on what averages are gonna be for the players.Comment -

I am hopping onto the Ohio State-3 bandwagon at the half. Rebounds are 16-9 and Ohio State is holding them to 36% field goals, while shooting 50% themselves. Ohio State has the edge in turnovers 10-13. i would like to see the assists go up for the Buckos, but other than that, it looks like the revenge is in full effect for last years' upset blowout victory by Butler. i am putting up the 2 bills I lost on Tennessee 1st half and one more on top (3 bills)Comment -

Personally I can't see how Detroit can possibly be an only 1 point favorite over the Bobcats. I am gonna talk to the Missus about this one after she gets back from our son's basketball practice today. I think that the Bobcats will have an awful lot of minute mixing going on with the new additions. But I do know that she has a play of some sort for this game, I just can't remember.
