Man I haven't been over to covers in so long, that ialmost forgot it exists. How'd you guys like to go back on over and handicap games with fish naked, packersbackers and goinggone? Man those guys were something else. Covers' entire basketball threads don't have as many visitors as our CK Mafia page does daily. Which proves my point that the Mafia WAS bigger than Covers. When i went into the p-box, I had more visitors than the normal threads even back then. Basically, we were giving out more winners than their so-called experts were. I only have mutual respect for Alex Smart and Steve Merrill. All of the rest of their lot were giving guys sub .500 records and charging them for it.

Then i saw the way that the mods were all on Matrixx jock while he was winning, and then when he started losing, they allowed him to be subject to personal attacks that I felt were criminal. Then they threw my wife in the p-box and allowed her to be called out of her name and racially and sexually attacked . it was unreal. The experience was so bad to her that she refuses to post online anymore, even though I told her that SBR isn't like that.

Still to this very day, if you look on the Covers main page, my old personal space is still the third busiest playbook, and I haven't made a single post since February of last year. Coversexperts, y'all can kiss my ass!

yea i was on the forums for like 2 weeks til i found this place, its only really useful for the scoreboard and its pretty easy to check line movements and the side the publics on as well as the last 10 games n stuff like that, how bout them cavs

hahaha i totally agree with your CK we should one day just go back over their and mess around with those amateur whack jobs, i hated what they did to stylistic over their too i had her back with all those mother fers that we harassing her and one night after a bunch of drinks wrote a whole epilogue about covers and banning her and they eneded up banning me as well lol, i truely miss her style of writing and posting and her CASh The Ticket saying i still use that to this day a lot when i'm at the track and sometimes on here, we would all learn a great deal more if she would post as well hopefully after awhile seeing how these threads are we can encourage her to start posting again as her insights are very impressive, also where in the world is knightridah we need his street lingo to spice this thread up a little bit

i agree nick i only use it for their scoreboard its live and shows you whos covering and by how many thats the only tool they have plus their matchups are pretty helpful when figuring out the average points but CK showed me winngedge and that is a lot better

them covers days were funny days......CK would fire off a post, then fudgepacker and goinggone would fire off a load of gay insults, we would all fire a load back then CK and a few of us would get put in the penalty box and then goingone and fudgepacker would come in there and the whole thing would start over again......

whilst in the toilet earlier today I was reading the local press here in Toronto - wow are they negative on the raptors tonight. One paper even put out a parental advisory notice on the game, warning "this game will get ugly fast, watch charlie browns christmas instead"

Don't count your money yet maddog teams with big leads early on these large spreads have been blowing them in the second half. I just do not see that tread ending today either and expect it to come down to the wire on that Toronto/Cleveland spread.

Darn it, the Raptors were playing pretty well in the 2nd quarter but they came up just a hair short for my small moneyline play. Just by watching this game though, i don't think that theCavs are going to cover for the whole game though. They are losing interest in the Raptors, which is a bad thing to do when involved in this thing of ours.

You're right. The jealousy of those guys was enormous. I look over at Covers, and it's, I have the Clippers, or Detroit, or whatever, with no analysis whatsoever. And when I was there and giving analysis, people would criticize me saying that what i was doing was too long or too drawn out, and unnecessary, etc. And that all that I needed to do was list my pick and say no more. Whatever. Go over there and look at their threads and what you see is a couple of people guessing, and never more than 25 entries on any thread. No one attempting to stimulate the minds of bettors as to what is the reason at to why they are betting on what they are betting on. It's unreal. It's no mystery as to why their membership is as low as it is. Anyway enough about that. I still like the Kings tonight, and no one has come onto here and given me a reason as to why I shouldn't... Gametime is an hour away, and my trigger finger is getting itchy.

The problem with applying that theory to this game is that the Blazers already beat Orlando and they are playing them with revenge in their hearts. I don't look for Orlando to have any solace for Portland, as they, and not Orlando are the media darlings right now. This one will be a nail biter, and i think actually that Portland will have a chance late to win the game, but I think that it will be a close game nonetheless. The victory earlier this season aside, the Magic have their number and will look to lay the wood this evening. Portland's big men don't want to mix it up with Superman. He is the bull in the china closet if there ever was one.

Ck- I read an aritcle in the sac bee today about the kings..they seem like a beaten dog.....I like the over, but it seems the heart of those players has a faint beat which equals no defense so i like the over and lake show first half

Hey CK, I'm gonna go with your picks today because yesterday I dont know if I over analyzed or whatever, but I basically missed on my picks on orlando and thunder, even though I took thunder 2nd half and they covered to absorb some of my losses. I'm gonna take orlando today, and see what happens. They played pretty bad against the clippers except the last few minutes of the game. Do you still strongly like orlando against a red hot portland team that's perfect at home?

I'm not going to give you a reason why because I know the Lakers are prone to struggle up at Arco. Their recent road trip against Indiana, Washington, and Philly should be a big indicator of how they take sub-.500 teams.

Ok CK, i looked and looked but very hard to find anything that favors SAC. All trends point to Lakers, but some points that may help in taking SAC,
-lost 8 straight at home (need to win eventually)
-coming off worst home defeat since '95 (look to rebound off bad game!)
-Lakers coming off one of their poor games of the season, bad timing,etc (carry over effect)
-SAC 5 straight ats losses

The weirdness with the line was due to richard jeffereson playing for the BUcks against the Suns. That's why it shifted to -6.5 wit most people taking the suns, rather then where it's supposed to be at about -10
