I say that they win by 6 or 7 points in their matchup with Orlando. jameer nelson is sitting this one out, and they have not established a decent backup for him yet. Our boy from Duke is an excellent sharpshooter but he is not that good of a ball handler, and will have trouble bringing the ball up against the likes of Andre Miller and Sweet Lou. Sixers will probably paste them if the magic aren't careful. I may not be able to resist this play if the public keeps on pounding Orlando. it started off at 2 and went to Philly-4.5 with all of the money in the free world on Orlando (62% with bettors). Philly is a solid play gentlemen. the moneyline is even correct on this one for 4.5 points!
well i'm just getting back to the forums after finishing finals and getting beligerantly drunk last night, but this is actually the game that caught my eye. I know how much the public loves orlando, and frankly they just aren't the same team as they were early last year... they're winning by narrow margins, having to fight against weak teams (like memphis) and specifically on the road... they were one of the game's best road teams last year... not so much this year.... Add to that, the fact that philly has been laying HUGE points all year, well this is where i think they finally cover, giving only two points at home, where they are better is great value for them, they are way better than the pacers and the pacers almost did it to orlando. Not to mentio the way that with public money on the magic that line SHOT up to -5... i'm smelling a dd victory for the sixers.

    PHI -4 (buy back)

also, i'm with you on all of your plays CK... ATL has lost 6 straight ATS and still lays 7... pistons have to be pissed about minnesota and the knicks are more vulnerable than usual... not to mention the pistons domination over d'antoni last year. I love toronto with charlotte of a good win, and the suns riding the comeback momentum... the one other play i have is the bulls first half, catching 4 points, the spurs always start out slow, and now that the team's back together, they'll be giving too many 1st half points for a while, plus even though they had a day off, chicago will be coming in with a lot of confidence and should start off well

    CHI +4 1st half

i wanted to give the game to portland but jus took them for the 1Q -2.5 instead, stats show a pretty nasty point differential in the 1Q for these two teams. In the last 5 Miami gets 22.8 in the 1Q and gives up 26.4, Portland gets 26.6 and gives up 20.8

I have to take time for a station break here and give credit where it's due...

Like a grandfather, I am most proud of you Wangichu, you above any of the youth have earned your mettle and my utmost respect. I only wish that I was as young as you are in the game with my knowledge! Just kidding but not really, I didn't pick up wagering until I was DEEP into my twenties.

Damn, I need to bankroll you and make you the campus bookie at your school. Let you pay for some muscle after the first week. Hell, football players don't mind making a couple a bucks on the side, and if you can get into their heads enough, hell we can really make some money across the board, lol!

Keep up the good work man. Just like Chet Coppack told me years ago, you have a bright future in the business. Keep up the good work, man. I have told a million mf's from South Africa to Australia about situational plays and how to see them, but you are by far the one who has gotten it the best. I can't tell old farts like BigMoney anything because he already knows everything. But of you I am most proud.

That Portland game bothers me a bit. Shawn marion wasn't a big part of what the heat do on offense anyway. he is a garbage man and gets his points without plays being run for him. Portland has been cruising along and has had an awful ot of games in a short amount of time. I am going to investigate this one, but it looks as if Miami may actually be the play. Styles doesn't like the Sacramento game at all one way or the other, especially with the public being on the Nets and the line going up from 2.5 to 3. This looks like a no play, and she is sticking to the Raptors only this evening.

                    peterpan19,

just take the under when a game looks fishy. it always seems to work out when I do that. It's a trick of the trade. When nothing makes sense just roll with the under.

                            Think about it peterpan19,

83% are on the over, you're on Denver and the line has gone down. Create the triangle and take the under as it is the most unlikely thing to do. Think outside of the box babe. Sometimes it's the only thing that will earn you money in this thing of ours. Close your mind and heart and be a cold blooded vicious mf, and take the under against your own personal thinking. In other words do what you don't want to do. Forget about Denver. Take the Blue Plate special. I heard the Key Lime pie is great.

Well well what the hell happened to NJ. I'll tell you what the best team in the league. I was looking for 7-0, oh well. Here is what I like tonight in the early games. Oklahoma, Minny, and Indiana 1st half.

Ck and myself discussed a couple games including Detroit and Philly but I don't like either and heres why. First, anytime your giving Orlando 5 on the road you have to have your head examined. This is my team and why Philly was favored here I have no idea. The only problem taking O town is that Nelson is the catalyst of there offense and I really don't know how they will respond without him and I don't like ifs. I will say this he has played well and not so well against them and they still seem to win. Second, Detroit is my second favorite team but they have not been covering lately and they do not blow out the Nicks. Also the Nicks played last night and will come in ready to go. I think it will be to many point for the Pistons to cover by games end. Sorry Bro but I hope I'm wrong

I will post later if I like any of the late games. GL

PS> Just read Wang's and Cks thread after the post. The Spread jumped because of Nelson being out!! Second, i didn't know at 43 I had one foot in the grave. I think I"m taking Orlando tonight just for the hell of it.

yeah, i saw that, but i posted it earlier last night at -2 so it's not that bad. I still think the sixers handle their business tonight, so i'm not that worried yet. Magic just look a lot more vulnerable on the road this year.

anthony johnson will be the PG for magic, but with van gundy as coach ur gonna see a lot of johnson bringing up the ball then hedo running most of the point. kinda like what happen with damon jones in miami then odom taking over when the ball crossed the half court line. the free money pick guy is pretty good and yesterday I was on his side but this time I cant see philly winning by 5. I like magic with points.

BigMoney is pickled still from last night, and afraid of big spreads. Detroit got beat by 20 points. What makes it so hard to think that they won't do the same? Because the Knicks are from New york. Puh-leeze! Orlando is a bad form play with the reverse movement, although I think that Philly moneyline is the way to go, as I indicated earlier. But however, I am sticking to my plays and the Missus plays and also BrandonLaz's play for Phoenix 1st half.I caught Detroit at -11.5, Atlanta-6.5, and Toronto-7. Let me stack them for all to see with clarity:

                                      Tornoto-7
                                      Atlanta-6.5
                                      Detroit-13
                                      Phoenix-2.5 1st half

Yo.. I understand, somewhat, everyone's logic that Marion doesn't do much... but that's just the point. As in PHX, he goes unnoticed, like Batman.. and suddenly he's got another double, double. He IS the garbage man, gets the toughest assignment on defense and picks up the loose balls for easy buckets, causes turnovers by jumping the passing lanes and averages around 2 steals/game.. That said, Miami isn't as good without him and the style of Portland's play, he will be missed tonight..

It is all good picking up any money here or there is always nice. Good call laying off of the Purdue game as well. BC hit a lot of three pointers to close out the game to miss the spread by a point.

I don't understand why Charlotte didn't foul at the end even when Toronto stole the ball with like 30 seconds to play. Oh well... what can you do? I hope New York doesn't get a backdoor cover or anything. Detroit can't seem to put them away for good yet. New York is losing by double digits, but they're just hanging around.
