Western Bulldogs the play of the round for mine. Team on the rise and I'm not jumping on any bandwagons here. As many would remember I had them a month ago as a big dog against Carlton and then again vs Adelaide. The Demons at nearly full strength last week against the Crows and still couldn't cover a massive line. The currents Crows list is no better than the 'doggies, who are a gun team at Etihad as well. Cooney back and with all the key players in place should be another beat down for the D's.
The Warrior's with a great run home and every chance of making the finals. No team will want to play the Warriors in the finals, they are the NRL version of AFL’s Kangaroos – very inconsistent but their best is scary and capable of beating anyone. Johnson the most underrated half in the game. Raiders still with no Ferguson or Fensom, Lee, Wighton, maybe Campese back? Doesn’t matter, their differential is horrible, they won’t make the finals even if they win both games which is unlikely against the Warriors and then Sharks. Might have a look at the over and/or Warriors team total in this game as well.
Snowden a massive out for the Knights, he is the leader of their pack, also with no Jeremy Smith and even if big Willie does come back unlikely to be at his best giving the Broncos a big edge up forward behind Hannant and Parker and also Alex Glenn back forming a solid 2nd row with Thaiday (or maybe slot into the centres and push Stagg to the bench with Gillett in the 2ndrow). The line is generous at -2 (I set it at -4), Newcastle always draws support because of big name coach and players (a few of whom are very overrated) but the Broncos still have couple of aces in their ownbackline with one of the games most unheralded centres Jack Reed and also Hoffman moving to FB was a great move. Regardless this game should be decided up forward, can see Parker dominating this game, playing like the world’s best lock at the moment and is challenging Gallen for a spot in the Kangaroos team.Comment -
