#5251Na, if there was a game to go "big" I think it was the first one because on top of the match-up advantages there was also the psychologic factor on the Spurs side, with Memphis not having faced such a good and versatile team as the Spurs, and with the Spurs wanting to come out and make a statement. I think Spurs win again but I took them already mostly because I know - 4.5 won't be around long. I do flat stake betting and I had "only" 1 unit on them the first game that's as much as I will play them for in game 2. Maybe Sando has a different view (he might even like the Grizzlies here as I'm sure many will). Still 36 hours to game time, no point in rushing things I believe and no point in betting the Spurs right away unless you can still get -4.5Comment -

#5256Trust me I hate going against ThatGuy in NRL. For me it's the equivalent of going against Vyomguy in NBA, but I make sure I make my own plays before checking what others are doing as there is no worse feeling in sports betting than having being influenced by others only to find out your own analysis was spot on to begin with.Comment -

#5257Sando when you have the time, would have to read your reasoning behind the Grizz as I expected you would play them for some reason, but was just a feeling. Hate going against you as well but like you said, no worst feeling than tailing someone and then finding out your analysis was spot on.

#5259From now on I am going to post all my plays on an SBR spreadsheet and just post that in this thread. I don't have the time to keep going back and calculating my records and units won/lost, and also people seem to get confused whether I am playing - (for example a 2 unit play) "2 units risked" or "to win 2 units", so using a spreadsheet will make life easier for me and anyone who wishes to follow or fade, as all plays will be easy to see on the one spreadsheet, and you wont have to go back through the pages trying to see if you missed anything.
I tried using a spreadsheet last year and posted 5 MLB plays, but seeing as they were in $$ and my plays are now all posted in units, I wil be deleting those plays from the spreadsheet, and just carrying my current SBR records forward onto the spreadsheet and starting from there. For anyone who thinks I have something to hide, I will post the spreadsheet here now before I delete the plays, they actually went 4-1. I have always gone to painstaking efforts to keep my record as accurate as possible, and every play has always been posted pre game (or at HT for HT plays, etc).
No doubt at some stage in the future some troll will pop out of his hole long enough to point out that "look this fraud has deleted 5 plays from his spreadsheet" so when they do I can refer back to this post and tell them to STFU as I was actually deleting winning plays.

#5264Still getting the hang of this posting on a spreadsheet. I dont know how to make the sportsbook you are using for a play show up on the inserted spreadsheet copy, even though it shows up on my working copy in my SBR. Anyway I've added my pending futures plays and my plays for this w/e @ UFC 160 and my plays's tomorrow in the NBA
1.5* Griz +5.5 (-111)
0.5* Griz m/l (+188)
Both at Pinny

#5271BIG w/e coming for me in AFL. Dreamtime at the 'G and the indigenous round, my favourite round of the year. I grew up in one of the roughest parts of Australia and for a few years my only friends were black fellas (and they were great mates), so I have a soft spot for indigenous round. My best friend growing up was Lee Hookey, we used to play league in the park across the road every day, I was the only white boy in a sea of black. Lee went on to play NRL for the 'bunnies and Dragons. Anyway I digress, back to making money. Going to kill the AFL this w/e, books you have been warned...
NBA
Playing the Pacers tomorrow ATS. Should have just made a play yesterday as the line has dropped first to 8 and now down to 7.5, so waiting patiently for things to even out and will grab the Pacers at +8 which will happen without a doubt as the Heat will now get pounded at the -7.5 by the myriad of Lebron homers.Comment -

#5275Damn man, can't agree with you on this one. Feel like the Spurs shoved a huge stick up my rear end. Second time already the supposed to be most experienced team gets me like this in the playoffs. Its probably my fault for hating on them for so long ahah. But really, I've lost like 3 bets do to free throws being hit at the end, they could've at least gone 3/4 and we would've both won! (I had -4.5). I have no doubt no the Spurs will win this series to be honest, simply the better ball club.Comment -

#5279AFL
I rarely if ever make my AFL plays before the team lists are released on Thursday nights, however I have studied the injury lists/updates as much as I can and short of the odd selection suprise I'm fairly happy there will not be any major suprises affecting my plays. Also have been on the wrong side of some close calls ATS in recent times so wanted to get in early to get some nice lines as I believe a few of these lines will move against us by opening bounce. Also don't usually look at totals this far out, but I'm inclined to think the Richmond/Essendon total will move out furter (from the 201.5).
The only serious gamble I am taking is with Carlton, as important in's - Gibbs, Yarran and Carrazzo are all listed as "test" so could go either way, however if these guys do play good luck trying to get -14.5 on game day. Malthouse will have studied the Brisbane/Essendon game and will be very aware that the Lions in Brisbane is anything but an easy win, so I believe any of these guys that are about 50/50 will be more likely to play as every game is SO important to the Blues at the moment who are 4-4 and still outside the 8 in 10th. The Blues will not under-estimate Brisbane one bit and will without a doubt take their strongest possible list to Brisbane. Also the loss of Daniel Merrett for the Lions is massive, as he would have been an ideal matchup for key Carlton forward Waite.
Note - The *0.25 play on the Tigers (+40) is actually Tigers to win by 40+. Stupid spreadsheet.
